I love the gyurta race. He was not mentioned by the commentators once prior to his finish.
200 Breastroke events are really the most entertaining and unpredictable event in nearly every major race
Not anymore lol. Although, Marchand or Haiyang? That will be a good race.
Interesting list. I definitely agree on your number 1. I never have the patience to watch a 200m breast but that race was decent.
The 50m in 2016 was a crazy emotional ride for me. I wanted Florent to win so badly, but Anthony winning was inspirational as well. I only wish Irvin had won by overcoming Florent at his best, instead it seems that Florent didn't swim nearly as well as he should have, which was very disappointing. Good list though.
Although I'm a huge sprint fan, I'd say the best race of all time for me was Ian Thorpe winning the 400m Free World Championships at 15 years old. I think that's the best tactical race of all time, to see a 15 year old do that was insane.
Definitely not the best tactical race. In Thorpe's book he detailed how he went out way too slow, because his couch wanted him to be alongside the guy next to him. I cannot imagine what the 15 year old Thorpedo could have done if he had allowed himself to go out a little sharper
Watching these give me the chills no matter how many times I come back.
Amazing video dude
YEEES!!! You finally uploaded!! I'm a sub and I look up to your vids, it would be nice if you keep uploading this kind of stuff :)
the first u r right
dual between the Two is great
im sad for cavic
200 M freestyle Athens 2004 - Ian Thorpe beat Van Den Hoogenband, Phelps, Keller and Hackett. Nine world records between five swimmers in that race. And of course the 4 x 100 freestyle relay in Sydney. Another one was the world championships 400m men’s freestyle final in 1994 and 1998. 1994 saw Kieren Perkins beat the other swimmers by five seconds while setting a new record at 3.43.80. 1998 saw Thorpe (who was 15 at the time) come from 2 seconds behind at the 300 m mark to out touch Grant Hackett and become the youngest male world champion (at the time).
So cool
Bohot sahi bhai.... Bohot age jao gai !!!
I don't know about the other ones, but #1 totally!
who else had to watch with captions on
Omega says Cavic touched first
Hey there!! I found that there is a channel called A Z that stole your video. He posted the top 5 Michael Phelps video you made making it look like the video is his. I am just saying this because I think this is unethical and unfair for you.
1. 100fr 2021 Olympic final, 2. 2012 2fly, 3. 2012 200IM
84 olys 800 free relay
2012 400 free relay
How are these not on the everyone’s list?
1. 4x100 mens freestyle relay @ 2000 Sydney Olympics
2. Mens 100m freestyle @ 2016 Rio Olympics
3. Mens 200m freestyle @ 1988 Seoul Olympics
Dare I nominate 400m World Champs 1998.

@@francescobass Just watched it - awesome. 4 sec start with one lap to go! BUT!!! I'll see your Federica Pellegrini and raise you a Jodie Henry 4 x 100m women at Athens 2004!!! :-)

2008 4x100 freestyle
Adam Peaty, Michael Phelps, and Sarah Sjostrom
Could substitute Thorpe 1998 400 free Worlds for Gyurta swim. Thorpe has to be spoken with the best ever. Lochte 200IM WR against Phelps too.
What was the ending song in the outro?
Cavic von
23 sec first 50m Butterfly for Phelps ... He was clearly foxing. (Sheeeeesh!) Not sure I could jog 50m in 23 seconds.
Uh no sorry. The 200m freestyle in Athens was the most exciting in swimming history.
Athens men's 200m was probably the race that brought together the most impressive field - and so it was a race that created the most anticipation, but as far as the most exciting race as it unfolded, I can never ever go past the 4 x 100m freestyle relay at Sydney 2000. 8 laps and basically 8 changes of lead, and then of course, the big black shark tracking down swimming's biggest ego in that last lap. The "smash 'em like guitars" boast beforehand, the world record in the first leg, the breaking of USA's stranglehold on the event - I remember jumping around my living room through the last 15 metres yelling, "He's got him! He's got him! Thorpie's got him!" At that moment I realized - I'm a 24 carat swimming tragic.
That don't matter
mine is when chad beat phelps in 200m butterfly london 2012 that was unexcepted and good video
Top 3 swim races and you dont put Federica Pellegrini against Sweden?? (Berlin 2014)
Not the race I expected
Eric Shanteau would have got gold if he took another short stroke at the end
CAN U ACC SWIM? THIS FEELS LIKE ITS TAKING THE MICK OUTTA MY SPORT
21.4 is that good
and now Dressel moved ahead of M. Cavic
@@lule7449 lol cavic did it with the super suit! Do u even understand swimming at all? Do some research first before u come here and leave some dumbass comment
I think the 200 breast was the best out of these 3
Good choices, but HORRIBLE resolution.
The 50 free in rio is not the 2 best race ever
It was really inspiring to watch Anthony Ervin win gold again after 16 years. Also, its his opinion...
