CAT D6R Blade Removal and Root Rake Install Timelapse

We are about to start a project where we will be cleaning up some cleared property. In this video we remove the blade on the Caterpillar D6R and install the root rake.

Good video of how things go with equipment. My question to you is over time you'd think the connections would be worn from changing back and forth.

Thank you! We periodically have to change out the nuts and bolts to make sure everything always stays snug. Using the shims and making sure everything doesn't have any wiggle room really helps I think.

Question for you, when then blades off, how did the operator retract the cylinders all the way in? Just left and right on the stick then up?

Yes, you just operate it the same as if the blade is on there. You do the opposite when you go back to put it on.
