    Please let me know if you have any questions regarding your visa, places to visit, or other queries.

      Visa on arrival is free but you have to book a hotel for two nights from DiscoverQatar official website.
      Check out the detail information in the description of this vlog.

    Hi, if I exploring the country less than 24 hours layover or more than 24 hours layover hope that I am allowed for enter to the country through e visa and book the hotel just for a one night/day stay

    • @travelingdoctorindia
      @travelingdoctorindia  Před 25 dny

      You can enter but the minimum requirement of hotel booking (through Discover Qatar website) is 2 nights (doesn’t matter you are staying there or not). This is the condition to get visa-on-arrival (VoA).
      You can get the detailed information in the description of this vlog.
      Let me know if you still have any questions.
      Enjoy your trip 👍

    Isnt it cheaper to get a tourist visa than booking a stay for transit tours and exploring? why did you choose to book a hotel instead?

    • @travelingdoctorindia
      @travelingdoctorindia  Před měsícem

      I believe the only option is to obtain a visa on arrival, as India falls under the free visa-on-arrival (VOA) category.
      To indirectly generate revenue, they have added a condition requiring hotel bookings to be made through the Discover Qatar website.
      Please verify the requirements on this official website: visitqatar.com/intl-en/plan-your-trip/visas
      Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Is it mandatory to go via discover Qatar?

    • @travelingdoctorindia
      @travelingdoctorindia  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, it is mandatory for Visa-on-arrival (for Indian, Thailand, Iran citizens (etc.)) to book the hotel through Discover Qatar.
      Citizens from other countries can visit this link for visa requirements:

      My transit is for 9 hrs only. What if I have relatives in Qatar?

    • @travelingdoctorindia
      @travelingdoctorindia  Před 2 měsíci

      @@nielsbohr4299 For them, it doesn't matter. They established a rule that for visa-on-arrival, you must book a hotel for two days through Discover Qatar, regardless of whether you plan to stay there or not. To me, this rule seemed completely illogical when I first learned about it.
      Please let me know if you have more questions.

    Did you cancel the booking later? or was the hotel booking amount lost? how much was the hotel booking charge?

    • @travelingdoctorindia
      @travelingdoctorindia  Před měsícem

      We can't cancel the hotel reservation because it is non-refundable. The booking charges were approximately INR 4500. If you book online, it would be cheaper, around INR 2000 for a 2-day stay.

    Hey. So you booked 2 days hotel through discover Qatar to get the visa even though you did not stay?

    • @travelingdoctorindia
      @travelingdoctorindia  Před 5 měsíci

      Hello!
      I made a hotel reservation through the Discover Qatar Hayya counter at the airport but ended up not staying there. The hotel booking is the only requirement for the Visa on Arrival; whether you stay there or not doesn't matter.
      Basically you have two options to book the hotel:
      1. From the Discover Qatar Hayya counter (in front of immigration).
      2. You can book online from Discover Qatar website (it would be cheaper than counter at the airport).
      Let me know if you have more questions.
      Have a great time!l

      @@travelingdoctorindiaHi, so if I have any Discover Hotel booking, is it gonna be free visa on arrival?
      I actually saw two types of hotels in discoverqatar.qa:- stopover hotels and hotels for hayya and VOA? Which one is eligible for free visa on arrival?

    • @travelingdoctorindia

      @jgm_jozef yes you have to book hotel (VOA) for at least 2 days from Discover Qatar website.
