Homebrew conversion guide:
1. install homebrew: brew.sh/ (run command on website_ /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL raw.githubusercontent.com/Hom...)" _)
2. install qemu: Run brew install qemu
3. "cd" to folder with Windows VHDX file: cd /users/yourusername/folder
4. once cd'ed into folder: qemu-img convert nameofwindowsarm.vhdx nameofwindowsarm.qcow2
5. your file will be converted into qcow2 and your windows installation will now not be corrupt.

Great tutorial! Clear and straightforward, although when I changed the VHDX over to QCOW2, I needed to use what was displayed on the webpage rather than the command you suggested

The -p parameter is for progress and so would be considered optional. What is odd though, is missing out the -O qcow2 option. The -O option is the output format (which we want to be qcow2). Without that, qemu-img convert MAY be extracting the format from the destination filename. But the code looks like it will set it to a raw format.
A little confusing.
Running qemu-img info on the target file shows the file format is raw if the qemu-img convert was run without -O qcow2
So. I'm not sure what/why this was being bypassed.

Hello. Did anyone achieved to print from W10+UTM? Mi printer didn't work under M1 and I want to use this workaround mainly for print. W10 detected the printer but in "Control Panel" appears under "Unespecified" category, not under "Printers"… any thoughts?
the commands on terminal is different what is shown in this video. Instead of homebrew, it prompts for installation of line of command.

I've just downloaded the windows 11 version, following these steps. For now it's working perfectly! But I was wondering if after some time it stopped working (I've read somewhere that there's a 90days trial version...but maybe it's not this one)

HI This was a very useful but I would like to load the x86 version of Windows 10 bit when I try this I get this error. Windows could not parse or process unattend answer file [CAWindows\Panther kunattend.xml] for pass [specialize]. A component or setting specified in the answer file does not exist.

Same issue here… Can only find Win11 ARM. tried it with a 2020 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM. Allocated 4GB RAM and 4 vCPUs for the VM but the installation does not go through…

Hi Jack, good video, I was trying to download Windows 10 ARM, but not in Microsoft Webpage, there is only the Windows 11 ARM. I down loaded it trying to follow the same configuration but it didn't works.

windows 10 arm in VHDX format is sadly no longer available. You will have to use windows 11
@@H1DDENxO I tried the windows 11 version and after all the work I booted it up in the VM and it keeps freezing on the setup screen… 🤷🏽♂️

yes you can
It's possible when you tried to use the qemu-img command, you used a -0 (zero) instead of a -O (uppercase o).

Thanks! After 4 weeks trying tu run the Win10 arm (for free, not using parallels) it runs!!
If i don't convert from vhdx to qcow2, when i restarted the VM it crashes and i use to have to reinstall all again...that problem here (with the qcow2) is solved! The only bug i have is that the internet doesn't work after i install the spice guest tools.
To the people trying to do this, BE CAREFUL with the languages! I have spanish language in my mac but all the routes of directories (to write in terminal) are in english...i did it 3 time until i notice that. When you download the brew, download it in english...other languages maybe will not work (i did it the first time in spanish and it had a lot of ERROR messages...and obiously didn't work).
