I'm 2.15 hours drive away in Mass. My favorite of all casinos I've ever been to. Also, I saw Peter Frampton there about 10 years ago, complimentary tickets. Awesome
Former employee who lives about 3 minutes away here. I visit it frequently and I would say this is about normal for a weekend however it tapers off a bit during the weekdays. Even then, I can count on plenty of people being there especially if there's live entertainment playing.
Just like Foxwoods, Mohegan has a concert venue sitting almost dead center in the shopping mall area. It's almost directly across from one of the Krispy Kreme shops. Whenever I go to a concert there, my favorite after-concert thing to do is stop in that Krispy and buy a half dozen box. Also, the mall here always has stores coming in, stores going out, and store slots that are in-between incoming and outgoing occupants, just like the Tanger outlets at Foxwoods. So, to call either one "dead" is subjective and dependent on one's definition of it.
Thank you for showing this. I am enjoying this sooo much!!!
My hubby and i loved Mohegan Sun. We do not go anymore, but we loved it. The shops never really appealed to me. I still went in to check out if i could buy some thing i wanted.
Great video! Haven't been to Mohegan for years! Hope to go there this summer. Looks like a lot of new changes and new slots! Thanks for sharing!
16:50 In terms of amenities and non-gambling attractions, Mohegan and Foxwoods are the best casinos in the whole New England and upstate NY region.
You're REALLY not missing much from the other regional casinos.
Loved the Summer Shack restaurant. We also went to the Irish Pub. If we were younger and more mobile, we would return.
About 5 weeks after my knee replacement I had to get the cornbread from the Summer Shack. I enjoyed it so much that I wrecked the progress on my knee from “rock star” to let’s start again. Not only did we get a great lunch, but we came home with 30% more cash than we brought. We’re thinking clams again soon
Excellent video thank you also, you do the voiceover very well. Trust me I know a little about voiceovers, but I can tell you this Mohegan Sun is a wonderful location if you go with the right time the weekend is the worst time during the week mid week is the best no crowds the noise volume is way down And you can have your pic of any machine without being showed to show there with people that you might not want to be shoulder to shoulder with although they might be wonderful people restaurants you basically can just walk in and after you’ve been there once during the week, you would probably say who the heck needs Las VegasI don’t need the five hour flight. This place is it
The shops are just shops. Hardly anyone says “Hey I have to go to Mohegan Sun to some of their stores.” The original shops they had at opening were superior to the ones they have now.
These videos are so nostalgic and relaxing for me ❤😊
Yes I'm definitely interested
I worked at mohegan sun as a security guard from 2007 till 2017 ,you heard the howling wolf in earth casino it howls every hour night and day mohegan it is big an loud but very nice places to work at never a boring moment ❤❤
It’s an amazing place I love the atmosphere there. A great place to eat is at Frank Pepe’s. Omg best pizza ever. It’s moderately busy as it can get more if there’s a convention or popular concert going on.
I was there a week ago for Terrificon.
But yeah, I would never go just for a casino. They always look so depressing to me.
Foxwoods does have a wonderful museum! Funny thing is I grew up around (and in those) casinos and now I live closer to the Mohegan Sun in PA.
I love fountains
Me too. Too bad they seem to be out of fashion now.
Drink a beer there without having to pee
@@joei2757 I wanted to say that they make me want to do just that. LOL TY
Restaurant entrance on left side r.r.
Went for the first time in February. Absolutely loved it. We went during the week, and it wasn't super busy
hell yeah to the arcade video idea tom
The arcades in game on were fun
I have been many times, looks about medium busy to me. Depends on what events or shows are going on. good times !
You should definitely do a tour of some retro arcades if there are any in New England. I have 2 close by to me in suburban Atlanta and they focus on refurbishing the classic games and pinball machines so lots of games from the 80s and lots of pinball dating as far back as the late 60s.
This is reminiscent of a lot of the shopping complexes in the largest Vegas Casinos (like Caesars and Venetian)…and, yeah,I grew up in Rockland County and frequently went over the state line to shop at Paramus Park since the Nanuet Mall sucked in the 70’s….really loved the fountains!
Yes Stiegars was on the right, there was no EMS, that is at the next mall. On the left was a food restaurant.
That actually looked less busy than it does around 4pm on Saturdays, which is really packed!
Also the howling wolf is the animated wolves that sit on top of the mountains. They howl every 30 or 60 minutes. They move as well
Went here a few years ago. For a while it was where the last Krispy Kreme in Southern New England was located. Played some slots and left $50 richer and with a box of Doughnuts.
I'm weird. Loud noises relax me. Silence makes me go crazy... that said a beautiful place.
Me too! Quiet stresses me out.
yes do it love arcades😃
Older games are better than the ones now
What's up Tim
Crowd looks normal. If you want a dead period try 8 am, since stores don't typically open until 10 am
Just a tip for slot players, tip your waitress or waiter. They will return as often as they can when they have a tipper.
I grew up near the Paramus Park Mall the waterfall looks similar but the water barely dribbled down the rock walls, the water pressure was nowhere near what it looks like at Mohegan Sun.
I think it looks better than the Foxwoods mall. The shops look mid to high end.
@madmerlot841 They are much better. Foxwood’s is just a Tanger Outlet mall. Mohegan Sun Shops are just that…some high end boutique branded stores as well as Mohegan Sun owned shops. Pricey but nice things. A whole different thing than that Foxwood’s mall.
yeah i told you about the mall! 😁😁
I knew someone did, but I couldn't remember who. Thanks!
I like shops and food court frank pepe from southeast Massachusetts
Wooster Street
Always LOVED Foxwoods but over the passed many yrs but pass few times they lost my interest so going to try out Mohegan over night for hubby and my birthdays heard its good
Summer Shack is nice for meal time...
If you're gonna do an arcade video you have to go up to Hampton Beach Boardwalk and let us know what's left of all the arcades that are left up there, if any. Lots of old timey stuff though I know one of the arcades burned down years ago.
The shooting gallery closed a few years ago.
Its probably loud because of the large open air space
Mohegan “96” Foxwoods. “92” Frank Sinatra opened up at Foxwoods, 1st entertainment
That’s normal traffic. Busiest times are afternoon to late night. Weekends busy all day
Are all the stores open in the middle of the night?
Before Covid some were now maybe a few everything under the sun and Krispy Kreme are 24 hours. Most mall shops close 10pm
@@fleabittenadventuresNo, most stores close at 7pm and the restaurants close at 9pm if they are even open. Both food courts are now totally closed as is the 1 buffet. The entire "Casino of the Wind" is now totally closed and some of the parking garages are now closed also.
It has become a has-been casino.😢
@@mr.c1580 What the hell are you talking about. I go once a week and have been for the last three years. Everything is going full blast including the 3 buffets. (Aspire lounge on the 33 floor, Earth lounge and the new Sachems lounge. But I guess you wouldn't know any of that because you have to be a PLAYER to get in. Has been casino? Very far from it. Know what your talking about BEFORE you make idiotic comments.
Quarters Hadley, MA , might be your kind if arcade.
was just there sat for comic con
Foxwoods is definitely bigger. If you walk front to back 3-4 times you easily rack up 12-15,000 steps. As far as ambiance and variety of restaurants, Mohegan wins. I personally get bored at Mohegan very quickly. I think it's a shopping, eating place over playing.
Mohegans actually has two arcades. The one on the earth side has a bowling alley and pinball machines ect.
Agree
In Europe and the UK,a Casino is a high end club with blackjack,Roulette and other high money games are played. What you have there we call a Games room
They have those as well. Also there is an exclusive area on the 33rd hotel floor for elite gambling.
I've been to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods a couple dozen times each... and like you, not a gambler, or a shopper. Mohegan Sun, I agree, is the more visually appealing. As far as finding your way around: They set the casino up like big circles. The "old casino" was literally built as a giant circle, with the exits at the cardinal directions, and the center being a free live concert venue "The Wolf Den". Then you have the hall that conjoins them, the "mall" section, with the ends being the howling wolf on top of a pillar on the old casino (near the arena/concert venue box office and entrance), and the Crystal mountain on the new casino. The new casino is... sorta circular, but then you have another smaller casino off to a side.
BTW, Foxwoods does have an arcade, called Treehouse Arcade, but they have moved it a few times over the years.
You talked about arcades, Mohegan has a better one called Game On. Classic pinball machines, air hockey, bowling and classic arcade games. It’s past the food court top level by the winter garage connector.
Oh. I must have missed that entirely. Maybe I'll checknit out if I'm in the area again.
@@fleabittenadventures you walked right by it at the very end of this video.
OH OH!! Gene Wilder had many slots on online games.

Oops wrong video, meant for Hampshire Mall, lol
Foxwoods, blah!!!
Was here twice for same thing cons but 5 to 7 years ago I went and one store is closed now spin city fye/GameStop type store media and shirts and toys
That was the only store there that appealed to me so I was bummed to see it closed
@@JamieLeeCt yes I know I didn't buy anything there few times I went through 😔 clearance games I was thinking about thought
im only 15min away. much better than foxwoods. i miss the expensive shop with the aquarium.
The mall opened in April of 2002
For me, this is too loud and also visually too much. Also makes me wonder how high the electricity bill is..
I’m color blind
Shame. I found my way in Mohegan in one visit. This is not normal for me, as everything is hard for me.
Store selection is lame here at this point. Foxwoods is better.
Mohegansun is boring! There are 9 stores in there! Foxwoods is way better!
The hall of the lost tribes was the non smoking casino. Since Covid the entire casino is non smoking now
