Vashon Island is a great place for a day trip getaway. It's a great place to slow down, relax, and connect with all the Northwest has to offer. We loved our trip (minus the tantrums), and we think you will too.

I was just on Vashon for the first time, earlier this week. Beautiful warm weather, amazing beaches, no crowds. I'll be back. I did hike at Shinglemill Creek. I had no idea it was such a deep descent down to the creek. I mean deep. Partly stepped, but even then make sure your knees are in good working order!
