- This video gives an introduction to Velocity Based Training and I discuss why we cycle it in and out of our training here at Biella Rugby Club.
This could have very easily been a 60 min video because there are many other uses of VBT that I didn’t discuss - perhaps a part 2 for the future.

That’s great! Enjoy playing around with the tech - but always remember to watch the athlete first, and the numbers second.
Great explanation of VBT, we use GymAware with Trinity Rugby and have always found it brilliant but a lot of clubs in Ireland moving towards Output Sports which is accelerometer-based. Definitely a draw to having so many measurement options in the one device, would love to compare the two side by side!

I don't even think that 3rd rep is valid on the squat. He didn't go as low as the first two one. So he had already failed technically.
Hey there, it’s a shame the camera angle isn’t the same for the third rep. He actually hits depth with the same range of motion as rep 1-3. Though it’s not that clear with the moving camera.
