Richard Wright was so underrated. This is easily one of my favorites from this album.
Not quite sure who was underrating him ?… I certainly never have …
@@deantaylor1512unfortunately a lot of people including Roger Waters who fired him from Pink Floyd. And then David Gilmore brought him back after Waters left the band.
Gilmour supported Waters in that time because Rick had some issues with drugs. They wanted to record The Wall in LA but Rick didn't show up because he was on drugs in Greece . Just saying, I love all of them.
@@noschervanhodjaty9658 I'm wondering if they thought they may have another Sid Barrett situation on their hands. Not that Waters and Gilmore were saints, and yet did they indulge as much as Write or Barrett did, I don't know.
@@williambenner701 probably. I think,it was because of financial reasons as well. They had to pay for studio and staff and without Wright they were not able to record the album .
I will repeat it endlessly, the day Syd, Mason, Wright, Waters and Gilmour met, they gave a great gift to humanity... I Pink Floyd ❤
If David Gilmour was brought in after Syd Barrett's demise, how could the two have ever met? They certainly did not perform together. Check your history.

I recalled the local FM station said they were playing the whole album. I had a blank cassette ready to go. Such a great album. I did buy the vinyl and later the cd. I may even still have that old tape. 30 years...like it was yesterday. Cheers, from Australia.

Love the song, but not a huge fan of the saxophone, in any song. No idea why i loathe that instrument, but i do. Shine on you crazy diamond would be my number 1 song if it didn't have the sax too
I don't like this mix... Rick's voice seems to be further away than the rest of the voices. Even it sounds too crispy.
Sound is too bright and less "swampy"...
I choose 10 times original mix over this one.
