their storyline murders me, I love and relate to Penelope so much and I am soo impatiently waiting for their story in the next season. I hope they stick to the book, the first seasons stuck their books pretty well. Polin is my favorite relationship in the series

@@littlecandy4813 Why does she deserve better and what is that "better"? She looks like an upscaled chubby toddler and is super small. Those genetics dont make good descendant, so any men who takes her already marries a disadvantage (especially in those times). Colin got shredded but she stayed the same? She has all the time in the world to work out.

It hurts. Cause majority of us relate to her or any other character like her. Not just about the size. But everything that we think we lack that makes us 'not enough'. These lyrics just shows what bullshit T.V shows and movies portray of that 'fat, silly, funny friend'. I dare anyone to say any single line of this song is untrue.
Thay are so pathetically shown. Most movies I watched, may it be dramas. The best friend is either a dumbass who is made fun of the entire show because of her flaws or her size and appearance. Or a chubby girl is show who is pictured doing something funny to make other laugh. They exist to no help and make the comedic scenes. Nothing else.
And we all see more of ourselves in that flaw-full, silly, fat, imperfect, side character than the main character.
She deserves so much better. So much more. People should start looking past appearance now.
Speak for yourself please. Most people like the other seasons more for many reasons and no I dont relate to her and her character doesnt even make sense. She doesnt have to work, she has 100% freetime and could work out to get in shape. She cant change her height of course but the obesity- yes. Some women love to be coddled instead of doing something about the things they can do something about. The men always have to be hot and in shape right? Nobody wants a heavy man right? Men get their ish together instead of telling each other they are perfect as they are.
Imagine if they put this song in the OST for Polin season, uff that would hit us so hard TTwTT

What murders my feelings is knowing he only noticed her because she moved on because he gave her mo other choice to and being the side character because he saw her as only a friend is a red flag when he only notices out of jealousy

Represent what exactly? Obesity is not like skin color or a disability....its a choice and formed by bad habits. You can change it and it looks awful. She looks like an upscaled toddler.
In the books she loses weight before they marry I hope the show doesn't do that
I don't remember there being any mention of Penelope' s weight. The fourth book was after 10 years. Penelope was considered to be an old maid by that timeline. That is what I remember.
They mention her losing 2 stone but that was before Colin returned from his travels and she was like 28 so it doesn't fit the time frame of the show anyway

So, youre telling me that even in those years, I wouldn't have my prince? Can i say that it is absolutely ridiculous to make only one girl fat in the whole show? Like.... Rich people were able to eat. A LOT. Especially in those years. People of their class were known for that. It is stupid to make Penelope who is in fact poor compare to Daphne for ex, fat. And even if she is, which is not a bad thing, why did they make her be the only one? And why did they make the people around her treat her like an outsider? When she is so nice and cute?! I do not know if this is in the book too, but even if it is, it is racism. Treat us like people! Why do they make us be ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS, outsiders? So, you're telling me that Daphne who literally raped her husband and was playing it innocent and then her whole personality was just to be horny and wanting a child, was the protagonist and the favorite of the writer I suppose, just because she was slim? WTF
Let me tell you something. Just because people have food, that doesnt mean they lose their self respect and dignity or sense of aesthetic. People didnt eat that much processed foods back then and moved more too. Just because you are probably f*a*t, that doesnt mean people wanna see that or it should be encouraged. Its not pretty and unhealthy.
