I have bought 4 cars from them in which 3 of them were green dekra stickered, never had any major issues as I went and checked the vehicles before buying them so I knew exactly what I was buying and I'm still daily driving one of the cars 3 years later with no issues, all I'm saying is if you know nothing about cars and have no mechanical knowledge stay far away from gold and green. Otherwise you can really get a good deal if you know what you are doing at Webuycars. Also don't listen to the sales guys there they don't know the cars and only want to sell them.

I used to work at that exact branch, the Brackenfell branch.
To us, youre just a number and we DO not care what problems you have after we sold you the car. Not because we were evil salesmen, but the management and higher ups only care about how much you sell. They honestly couldn't care less if you have problems.
All this being said, i would still buy a car there, as there are some good deals to be had. The other dealerships would come here early in the morning with a list and buy a few cars, drive it to their floor and put up 20-30k. Youre getting the same car there for more money.

Bought two vehicles from We Buy Cars after proper inspection both green coded, driving both for almost three years now and no issues. I think the problem is the buyer and not the seller as people don't know cars so they end up buying without proper inspection. The average buyer is not up to date with the mechanical side of vehicles and end up buying a vehicle without proper knowledge of such vehicles. I am currently planning buying my third vehicle from "We Buy Cars" .

WBC does not disclose everything about the car. Recently they sold a Swift Sport where they KNEW the engine and gearbox had dropped by 50mm and this was not disclosed. Actually had to cancel 3 sales because of this. Many dealers are complaining that even Platinum Dekra reports are not disclosing all.

It is like this at all used car dealers. 90% don't even provide a Dekra report. Make sure that you read and understand the report. If you have no knowledge of cars, ensure to be accompanied by a knowledgeable person and don't buy with your heart. The green Dekra vehicles are sold at reduced prices as to enable you to get them in a roadworthy condition. Do your calculations carefully.

@@PheloMngCars WeBuyCars sells cars as they are, if it comes in sick, it will leave sick. Basically, they are like a commercial auction house. When they buy a car, they will not do anything to it except wash it. Wena you saw a cheap price and decided to save short term, manje now long term is is nipping at your heels you want to take legal action. Sorry you are suffering but the problem with us South Africans, when we want something, we want it now and rarely do our due diligence before purchase, we just purchase, especially when its convenient for our pockets, which always leads to us crying at the end.
I bought a car with a green dekra report, not from webuycars, i got mine i vaal. before i purchased it, when i entered the dealer ship, i asked them to switch it on and let in run the entire time i was there, we took about 4 hrs to finilize the the deal, and that time the car was run non stop. This for me is a good way to check if a car runs properly when its hot. to cut the long story short, i found that the car had a water pump problem, i still ended up taking it as i purchased a 2 year warranty as well for 12k, the next week, i took the car to VW and they replaced the water pump for me which cost 16k, and my warranty paid for all the costs, that 12k i paid there saved me a lot of money.
Im in the market for a new car and im not rushing anything, i deal will come by i know it, just like all my other cars, they are all other cars iv bought.
I feel webuycars is not at fault with your issue, they are not scammers, just people who always cry about them are those who rush to buy cheap cars. This video should help a lot, although many more will miss it and they will be stuck in your position. The fact that they say they sell cars in the same condition as they get them makes me more comfortable with them than anyone else although i have never bought anything from them because good quality cars with them are actually quiet expensive there

The reality is that when you buy the car from wbc you sign a heap of forms relenquishing away all responsibility on their part for the vehicle after the sale, so the dekra report could be completely false and you have no leg to stand on. It's worthless.
That said, like any second hand vehicle purchase the more you know about the vehicle the better for you.

Since moveables are sold 'on auction' basis, thus floating the Consumer Protection Act after a transaction is concluded, as opposed to independent dealerships whom have to take responsibility of reasonable breakages for a period of six months; why pay R5- R10K less at WBC than independant dealers for extra peace of mind (at least for six months)? Asking for a friend

It's the "awe inspiring" experience of seeing so many cars under one roof and the hustle and bustle of other people all around you looking giving an impression of "for the next ten minutes only we offer......" They used to first park the cars that were just bought above the ground floor up a ramp- these were first offered to the dealers via an online auction and thereafter brought down for sale to the general public if not bought by the dealers. This is why I could not find the most popular sought after second hand cars on the floor with fair mileage.

We buy cars doesn’t disclose the R2000 or so that will be charged above the listed price they claimed to be documentation fee. They should have included that on the original listed price, but they will surprise you after you think you have done all the payments. Customers should be made aware of that.
