    I don't think you or anyone needs to be ashamed or put down for not knowing a piece of history. This is a big world with thousands of years of history to learn about; you'd be hard pressed to fully cover anything more than a specialized place or era in your entire lifetime, much less learn everything. American history classes will obviously focus on America and its significant events, German classes will focus on German, Egyptian classes will focus on Egypt, Japanese classes on Japan, and so on. 'World History' classes tend to be so general as to cover pretty much nothing other than the biggest events in human history, and only superficially. It's thanks to groups like Sabaton that we can pick up a few more things from here and there as we go!

      Absolutely. I like to point to the video History of the World... I Guess. Your average historian spends their lifetime studying particular periods that fly by in a matter of seconds in that video. The general rule is to know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little.

    At last The Blood of Bannockburn. You are now one of the very few that I have seen review this great track. Being Scottish probably biased but why not. Saw them live last week in Glasgow and yip they played this. Sooooo gooood. Oh if you have not done The First Soldier yet take a look there is a lyric video, music video and an english version of the story from Yarnhub. Then there is 1916. Their latest dropped 2 weeks ago. What can I say bring a tissue for this one. Motorhead cover. If there was ever a song for a band then this is it for Sabaton. Right in the feels every time. Official video a must. Believe behind the scenes making of just released also. They played it live last week to. NO WORDS.😢

      A very catchy tune to The First Soldier, written by Tommy. One of the very few he's done for Sabaton. I believe he is also behind A Ghost In The Trenches.

      @@carinarodebak9419 And 1916. As he is the cover master the band asked him to come up with something for their version as the Motorhead version very simple and stripped down. The rest is history. 🤣

    Awesome reaction. As a history buff and with relation swedish/scottish blood i gotta say this is one of my favs of sabaton. I would suggest watching" theoutlaw king " it seems to be the most historically correct movie about the battle. :)

    Braveheart actually ends with Wallace’s execution and then some kind of variation of the Battle of Bannockburn. Actual history and the plot of that movie is only loosely connected.

    I'm pretty sure this song is the most uplifting and energy-filled song from Sabaton's catalogue. I'm amazed about how the U.S. only teaches history from around independence onwards. Begining as a British colony, it would make sense starting (at the least) from English history and then branch out after independence was achieved. It really makes no sense to me, but then many things from there make no sense for people on this side of the pond. Depite Touchy being a product of that education system, I can only commend him for his eagerness to learn about the past (and his openmindness is one of the main reasons I suscribed to his channel). Great reaction as always!

    I would echo what Nate has said earlier, not everyone can know everything about world history, but being willing to learn and then going out and learning is always a good thing so I commend you for still looking into the history behind Sabaton songs as you have always done. Lastly great reaction as always and even though I had to end my patronage some time ago due to financial reasons I am still subscribed and check out a few reactions here and there, but felt like I should comment on a Sabaton one. Hope you are having a great day and if you want to check out a bit more Sabaton they just recently released a really touching cover of Motörheads 1916 which is also a wonderful tribute to Lemmy of Motörhead.

      @@TouchyReactions You do some of the best reactions on CZcams in my opinion, the fact you check out multiple versions of a song and actually give your thoughts in full is so nice. Sadly a lot of reacters just say a few words in the intro, then watch the video in complete silence and at the end say something generic like "well that was cool" and that's it. So I really do like what you are doing and hope I can support your content more in the future, but at the moment its just not possible. But keep up the good work and keep being honest < 3

    Hey I’ve missed your Sabaton reactions great to see them again. Idk if you remember me but it’s been a long time since we saw some Sabaton.
    Remember sometime last year we spoke and you mentioned you were open to reacting to the history videos of the new album songs which hadn’t been released by the time you reacted to some of the songs?
    Do you think you can still do that? For example the history videos for Stormtroopers and other songs are now released and I think people would very much enjoy to see you learning about them.

    • @TouchyReactions
      @TouchyReactions  Před rokem +1

      Hey Melkor. Of course I remember you. Thanks for sharing your comments. My Sabaton videos viewership kind of fizzled out. So I figured I'd take a break from them for a while and discover some new artists. I'll always sprinkle in a reaction here and there. I love them too much not to.

      @@TouchyReactions Yeah thanks.
      You mostly just have a few history videos to focus on if you even feel like doing those that have come out since you had a long break from Sabaton that is. They are well worth it I can assure you.
      I especially would like to see your reaction to stormtrooper history video but honestly most of the ones that have come out are all worth reacting to.
      Hopefully I’m not sounding demanding I just really hope you’ll start reacting to them again in the future and catch up on reacting to the history videos. Anyway have a good day cya. :)
