They have a lot of softer, mellow side tracks even during their debut/rookie era. I suggest *Just One Day* next. It has an mv and is a slower song. It's one of my personal favorites.

I think this song truly encapsulates how teenage boys feel whenever they feel attracted to a girl. Its really impressive how bts truly captured the phases that they go through as they grow up. With their feelings and thoughts and all. Truly shows how they use music to share their audience what they feel right there and there.

Funny, when baby JK spits " I am 18, I know everything I need to know.... " he was barely 15/16 back, LOL.
I am also hoping for a return of Jeon the rapper. There are many compilations with JK rapping uploaded on YT ( all live during their concerts) and you would have never guessed he is not one of them ( a legit member of the rap line). He holds the utmost respect and adoration for RM and it is a known fact he signed with BigHit because of RM ( he declined offers from other, bigger and more reputable companies). JK knew RM was a trainee with BighHit and wanted to train with him really badly ( liking and admiring him that much). A divine intervention you may think.
If you want to hear more of their earlier materials ( the ones that are incredibly good but underrated, also most of them very hip hop oriented) I would suggest " Born singer " or "Hip hop lover". Live performances of both are an experience let me tell you.
Speaking of JK admiring RM, there is a vid of a"Born singer - practice from 2015" and JK raps RM´s part together with him:-) He is pretty fantastic at it, mimicking every RM move, taking the same breaths, spitting it identically with RM - it is pretty fascinating actually.

Their music evolves as they go through different stages of life. This is why I think writing your own music as a musician is critical, people can feel your sincerity and relate to you no matter what age or stage they are in life. When they were still in school, they criticized the educational system, wrote lots of songs about teenage mindset as well as how we're suppressed by societal expectations/systems (N.O, No more dream, Spine breaker etc). When they grew a little older, they started writing about how people in this world lack acceptance (Whalien 52), passion towards music (Born Singer), little bits of their loneliness and how life brought them unending amounts of depressive thoughts and hardships (Rain, Tomorrow etc). Then, they started wiring about love songs, but they weren't just normal love songs. Many of them were written impressively with either literature or stories engraved in it. For example, The Truth Untold was about a story of a person not accepted by society loving a girl, and it teaches us a lesson about how self-acceptance is important in front of love. 134340 is another impressive love song, talking about a broken relationship with the narration of Pluto. They also talked about their anxieties of finally entering adulthood, losing your way and being scared in the cycle of life (Lost, So Far Away, Reflection etc). Then of course going forward they staring writing about self-love, how it's harder to love yourself than to love others. these are just examples, there are so many good meaningful songs that people can relate to in their discography, including many of their solo works in which they talk about their experience with social anxiety, depression and individual thoughts of the world
Wow I read the whole thing and loved it. You explain it so well. People can pick and choose songs to listen to, but when enjoyed in context, you really do get the sense that every song fits into the bigger picture of everything that they are going through during a specific era. Yes, the songs and lyrics have evolved with the boys, but it doesn't necessarily mean songs now are better than songs in previous albums. Their albums do a good job of telling an amazing journey about growing up and finding/accepting themselves.

I think it’s important to mention that this song did create a bit of controversy. You should really listen to “21st century girl” which was a song that BTS released after the ‘controversy’ to clarify their standpoint.
Also, I believe it’s important to know, bc I think it’s important to see their growth and artists and people. I also personally believe that this song was a very lighthearted, not that serious, song which people took way to literal. hey you should react to their song “21st Century Girls” which was kind of a response to this one. they got a lot of criticism for War Of Hormone and how some of the lyrics could be seen as misogynistic, so they apologized a lot and made 21st Century Girls to show how they understood why WOH was wrong and they’ve learned from their mistakes!
