Parveen Babi is an extremely underrated diva! Just look at her elegance and poise! She’s seductive yet decent and not at all trashy unlike today’s heroines. Too bad no one helped her when she was going through so much! Shame on Bollywood stars who used her for their own benefit and threw her away when they were done with her. Her iconic role has to be when she played Jenny in Amar akbar Anthony.

This lady i read died alone in her apartment and her body was found 3 days later. She was suffering from Schizophrenia and had diabetes as well. And only 5 ppl in her funeral and all friends. This tells u the cruelity and brutality of the world. When she was young and all imagine all the world at her feet. She should have had gotten married and have kids. Anyways RIP. Latas sister is a great singer. She nailed it.

I even couldn't comprehend initially cause of the Urdu poetry but I ask someone who is an expert on the language and all.it says " sayaaad " means Hunter and " bulbul "means nightingale . so it means the Hunter falls in love with the prey .what a tragedy what a tyranny. Now she is sent to lure him in her trap and kill him as he is a very rich guy but when she sees him for the first time she falls in love with him so she is signing about that . she is signing Hunter became the prey . Look what tragedy , what tyranny. And then she sings look how a heart beats in love , how a killer becomes a darling.
Bappi Lahiri was the King of Synthesizer's in India at that point of time.

Went to watch this movie, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Satte Pe Satta with my parents in the theatre last week - some of the movies that were re-released for Amitji’s birthday. Listening to this song in the theatre was a surreal experience! And watching Parveenji, Shashiji, and Amitji! Oh god, I can only imagine the 80s being a music fest for all the movies! 🤩
This is one classic song and Parveen is at her best in here. Feel so sad that such a talented artist had to face such an illness. Otherwise she would have left us with many more such class appearances... May she find peace wherever she is now and come back on earth with same charm.
