THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I was getting frustrated as to why I couldn't download any apps not from the Microsoft store. God you saved me from throwing my laptop out the window

Go to Settings, Region Settings, Change your region to "United States". No restart required. Go find a "mobile app" in the Microsoft store, click on it.. Follow the prompts. Done.

Only now you have mixed up dates and zeds instead of esses. ☹️ But, android apps on Windows is cool! I'm finding lots of use for this.

If you run the ARM processor or Surface Pro X you are pretty much screwed or very very limited to what you can install even though it is running windows 11….!

What apps are you missing at the moment ?

@@oztabletpc Seriously you are asking me that on PRO X ? - VPN apps which is very mixed bag, you can get them to work but when you apply windows 10/11 specific software implementations they cannot work on ARM, CZcams Apps (dont work properly and they are browser based only), lots of various editing apps to be honest I cannot be bothered to list everything its that long a list but you should surely know this?
Pro X is good for just for purely office and business work, that said outlook has a lot of issues with the ARM processor as it is very temperamental with using the Calendar on outlook with certain programs like apple email and private email servers even with MSFT server etc. I like the idea of the Pro X but having used this for a long time I am not convinced it was a good idea to make this device. It is slow and Windows crashes a lot. It has issues with memory allocations and its config ports are constantly conflicting causing program crashes, What is even more interesting is if you reinstall with a clean install it does not clear any memory problems so basically there is no clean install feature as such. Its a mess. The normal Surface Pro is okay, nothing great but far more stable. I even have found similar issues on rare occasions with my Surface Studio. MSFT have so many glitches its crazy, Compared to my Apple Mac Pro (2014) model its never crashed ever…and that runs my music studio even to this day….So yes I can certainly testify to the issues with Pro X. I like windows as a platform and I like 11 but they need to stop making half baked programs and actually finish or polish what they do.

Amazon isn't appealing to me. It may just be me, but Amazon has a second class reputation, so it will be uphill. Don't really get why Microsoft would team up with Amazon..

Completely agree. It cheapens the MSFT brand immensely as well.

I think the problem lies with Google. They worked so hard for the last ten years to pretend that Windows doesn't exist. They're not about to open up. But there will be a way.
