Family names, caste system they are not bad. They took different form in present situation. Power (political, money, particular government jobs and offices) replaced caste system. Money replaced family name. Now present situation is no respect for anything only grab grab grab situation. Political leaders are not concerned for society, they think only about number of votes but not voter, next coming election than their duties.

During Corona time india is saved by people but not by governments. Reasons
1. Agriculture. This saved society. Their service saved country.
2. We do keep distance from other people as a custom, so its our habit. Indians did not feel some unusual habit
3. Our costom of. Not spending all money, habit of saving.
4. Farma companies worked hard.
5. People came forward for philanthropic work, distributed daily needs for food.

What happens if a citizen has agricultural land not more than one acre, residential land not more than 1000 Sq.Yds., not more than 100 grams and Bank balance not more than 1 crore ? If someone has propery more than the above said, the citizen should lose the right and it is recovered by the Government for common development. Have you everworked on the results if it happens ?
