"Don't disturb bears while their fornicating."
There must be a story behind that line.

This Is How Bear Grylls Really Makes His Money

@@2m2b13 did you write that article and are you triyng to promote it yo get money? Because that article is too bad for anyone to recomend it without getting paid.
jomes, dude, I was just laughing so hard alone in my room at 4AM after reading your comment, I understand now I don't do enough core strengthening exercises.
I was literally eating lunch watching that last scene..I still ate my lunch because that is great protein.
Was your lunch forehead worm?
On toast
Of course bear grills in the middle of the ocean just causally on the top watching videos
Buzzfeed? I don't visit crap sites
Probably a nice yacht just of scene
He lives on the island. Its got a house on it out of shot.
"it turned out that this polar bear had really bad toothache and he wanted to ease his toothache by chewing on this guys skull"..
🤣🤣🤣
Imagine become a bears chew toy🤣
I had to scroll to find a post that adresses this topic and I still wonder why the fact that a man's skull is dental hygiene for a bear is not top of the list here.
polar?
Love how he's not only critiquing the movies, but also giving survival tips
**pulls a live grub out of the forehead**
Me: "I just lost my appetite"
Bear: "Eat it! It's great protein!"
Realistic and not realistic doesn’t seem like the best metric, I think it’d be better to rate the usefulness of the survival skills
Danny G well, it can’t be useful if it cant be applied in real life, right?
because it could be realistic but not a good idea.
@@bloodyezio832 yess like into the wild
Nobody asked
How was it realistic that bear didn’t catch him running? The bear was so close and they run so fast, you can’t outrun them unless you go to a car next to you or something. And running triggers predators instincts so it’s bad move.
he had a lot of obstacles in his way and bears are very heavy though they are fast they don't have the greatest of acceleration and he could twist and turn a little and he did not have to go very far plus that strategy of scaring them only works if they are not hungry if they are hungry then they WILL eat you.
Cherian Philip hmm. Good point.
You can kinda believe it if you consider all the trees the bear had to break through because it didn't fit. In reality though it would prolly have caught him but there is no guarantee so it's not that bad.
@@adamya1639 - There was a good while before he got to the trees; notice the bear isn't even gaining on him as they cross the log.
Les Stroud broke down the same scene and pointed out that grizzlys are *fast* when they're not just jogging (like this trained bear was told to) and would definitely catch you over that distance.
Also that throwing burning logs would probably result in them going out.
czcams.com/video/tCqwT2MqLxI/video.html was one of the 2 parts that Les did which I watched recently, might be in that or the other part.
@@Peter_Cordes I’m pretty sure this bear was just cgi
One thing I have to disagree on, as someone who lives in Alaska and has experience with bears, that bear would have caught up to him in seconds. Even on a bike it’s difficult to outrun a bear, they may look slow but for short periods they can run incredibly fast.
I think Bear meant realistic in that a bear would chase you in those circumstances and fire would possibly keep them at bay. Bears are so fast it’s hard to believe Anthony would have had the speed to outrun him even to a fire pit. The bear itself and fire are what’s realistic
Yeah. I have seen black bears be able to climb trees as if they were spiderman.
Yeah bears are fast but humans can be fast too considering the distance and obstacles. Well yes is it unlikely that he escapes somewhat. But it is a dense forest probably the best chances u have against a Bear
Yes. I was surprised that he didn’t mention anything about how fast a bear would run in real life!
man cuts his own forehead, pulls out a larvae while also feeling the inside of his head, throws the larvae in a bowl, squeezes out blood to also remove the eggs and is retrospecting and feeling disgusted at the same time.
"eat larvae, has protein"
Gotta do what you gotta do to survive. Disgust has no place in survival, except to warn you of infection.
@@epsillon4305 Yeah, but you don't survive with an infected wound.
Looks like Bear is in a situation himself lol
Trustfully, Wales is a situation itself.
mans really telling us to eat some freaky looking worm we just pulled out of ourselves.
Bear Grylls, what an absolute mad lad. Great to see him on Vanity Fair. Also, he's in Wales? Who else wants to visit Wales?
I'll come if you'll have me
Only someone who hasn’t been to wales would want to visit wales.
I wouldn't right now, we're back in lockdown 😳
That doesn’t look like botfly larvae that he pulls out looks like worm to me.
oi i know you
I mean I do appreciate that he told me how to get rid of larvae under my skin. I'd hate to one day have a worm under my skin and have no idea what the correct way is to get rid of it.
Normally, you just go to a doctor. It takes a while. There are millions of videos up on this. Everyone who runs the car off the road or gets in a plane crash in hot places gets these.
It’s very cringed to wonder if it was a leech that was difficult to get rid of.
“ that’s good protein!” Lmao
Bear Grylls: I am on a little island off the welsh coast of the UK.
Everyone: Of course you are. Please tell us more.
Bear Grylls
Basically a guy who can survive anything, anywhere . Bet he's winning every single game of truth or dare or never have i ever
My greatest of all time
He’s losing never have I ever
Bear Grylls always has the High Ground .
I hope we keep getting these awesome Bear Grylls videos!
My brain:
WiFi on an island?
Also my brain:
Johnny Depp owns it.
Jajjjaa god one
step one: take giant worm out of your forhead
step two: take the eggs of the giant worm out of your forhead
step three: EAT IT ALL
Instead of realistic versus unrealistic , I wish the final result was a rating of realism. 0 not at all realistic 10 completely realistic.
Each clip (in both parts) has a bit of movie magic and a bit of realism.
Bet he recorded this with a makeshift cellphone out of rocks and twigs then signaling the data trough fire smoke.
Bear ''Protein'' Grylls
Went down into the comments just to read some jokes about the "Eat it tough its a great protein"?
mood
More bear!! Love this videos!!!
That explains the scar Harry Potter got. Now for the voldemort's nose .
He was in a situation and the nose was a very good source of protein and energy.
@@catalin4764 Dude, just no
hes so wholesome 🖤 love this dude
Imagine someone in the future reviewing the “reality” of a Bear Grylls movie.
Gotta repect Bear Grylls. Amazing guy!
I agree, he’s made a career out of pretending he’s good at things, it’s amazing really!
I'm always amazed how calm it is in the middle of the ocean
Saw Bear in thumbnail and screamed this guy is awesome. Wish he shared some of his experiences as he did in his other video. Well, guess I gotta wait for part 3!
Can't wait for Part 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8 9 and beyond!
My top tip. Learn some good traps and places to find small animals and rodents. That will be the difference between eating meat or grubs in a survival situation. And go for MAX damage/carnage with your traps. You don't want to fight an injured animal.
I just started watching "World's Toughest Race" I love it!
Well he has been through almost every situation
watch the recent season of Alone (just ended not long ago). one of the contestants (Roland) did land a big game and had to deal with scavengers and also having to carry all that meat on hour long hikes back to camp then another hour out again. sufficed to say, what he lands and what he ends up safely back in camp are 2 wildly different numbers. still, dude was badass.
Salted fish crisp. Resourceful and gourmet
Bear, you are absolutely awesome!
Am I the only one traumatized by the fact that the worm scene (the last one) was REALISTIC?
just jam it up with some vaseline to starve it of oxygen and it'll emerge on its own, apparently
5:14 he wasn't being hunted and tracked by only one wolf though, the whole pack was there...
I've never seen anything quite so disturbing as the last one. One moment I'm finishing my lunch - next moment I want to die on the spot. How can I unsee it now, please?
the last one... im actually in shock like "eat it" BRO WHAT NOW
7:33 Why am I not surprised
I was just typing Vaseline when he said it, that is standard practice as grim as it sounds lol.
I really want Bear to do a video with Primitive Technology (the original one).
*Human gets stuck *
Bear : eat it though, that great protein
Ya, I'm in the Wild with this parasite in my head and gosh ! Looks like I forgot the Vaseline again 😌
Bear Grylls was the perfect choice for this as just like all the actors in the films he also went for comfortable nights sleep in a hotel at the end of each days shoot.
That Jungle scene man, ouch
Id believe Les Stroud more...
Best imitation of Christian Bale for the moment
In "The Grey" it is a pack that hunts them. Neeson's character wanders into the wolf's den in that scene. So I wonder what the Realistic grade is?
At 6:20 are those mealworms on the meat? I thought they fed on grains. Or do they feed on both?
well if anyone knows about realistic or not it is going to be our Bear,
record tv during day,
stay in 5 star hotel every night :D
Good god, he hasn't changed in the last twenty years wtf?!?! He looks amazing.
Bear > Eat your own head maggots ! Me: ..... NO!.. NO!.. NO!.. NO!.. NO!.. NO!.. NO!.. NO!
Les Stroud Please ♥️
“If you do pull it out eat it though“
An eye for an eye, but would that be self cannibalism?
If its foreign to the body, it's not. In this scene where he's pulling out the larvae, it's not cannibalism. You could argue that its covered in his blood. But the main thing is that worm
When you get it out, eat it. Classic Bear. :D
he should review some of HIS survival clips lol also Les Stroud should b there too heh
he's too nice. we want a roast, Bear!!!!
He didn’t watch the films. And hes also critiquing his hollywood friends movies. Never gonna roast because he knows they’ll out him as a fake!
You know there’s a 5 star hotel just around the corner
did he just tape glass bottles onto his hand lmao
Classic Bear ! 7:33
That doesn’t look like botfly larvae that he pulls out looks like worm to me.
Bear grylls you are super surrival
Wouldn't fish blood be better to drink than sea water tho, if there isn't rain to collect?
Does vanity fair respond?
MORE BEAR GRYLLS
The bear is The Edge is a Kodiak bear (played by Bart the Bear).
In The Grey he wasn't tracked by one wolf. He found their den at the end.
found by accident lol
He didn't watch the whole movie
"If it does get it out, eat it though. It's a great protein" lol....typical bear grylls
he is the best! and this channel too
Wholesome content
Say what u want but the man does know his stuff
That’s a pretty poor internet connection for a 5 star hotel
This mans is on an island reviewing survival movies. How is this man such a meme?
7:33 I'd either vomit or
eat them all out of spite
Did he review the hotels and other accommodations these actors had during the filing of their productions? Cause that’s really the extent of his expertise. They should have had Dave Halliday, his consultant on Man vs Wild, do the commentary.
I feel like it's not fair to put into the wild on this list because it's a true story
I think it would be cool to be a survivalist
and then found out about botfly larvae
The power of Sir Antony! Our host does not call out the realism of his ability to outrun a starving grizzly.
Guy in a remote island with wifi.
Bear Grylls: Totally Unrealistic..he is not Bear Grylls
Sounds like this video needed to review Galaxy Quest
What about hunger games is that in part one if not I want part 3 on that
i would love to see him react to the movie alive
So basically, leave bears alone, period
An he missed something in The Grey. It was a pack of vengeful wolves that drove them INTO their territory DELIBERATELY. Which seems like it may or may not be realistic
I think if I was in that last situation, I would simply kms at that point 😭
2:39
I must say that last clip was horrifying
when they gonna get my man Ed Stafford to do one of these?
He must have not seen the Edge. Because all bear safety tips were naught with Bart the Bear's character in that movie. He was a maneater. He didn't care about camp food, or being disturbed. If he saw a person, he was going to hunt them down.
2:47 how did he not pick up that the bear was being outran when the bear woulda caught him irl
Bear Grylls i saw on discovery
So you have done Into the Wild based on a true story - how about Alive or 127 Hours?
Oh man.. Into the wild is my favorite movie! Classic scene that one where the meat becomes rotten
