Good luck everyone, tomorrow is paper 4 , if I get an A* , I do a thousand push-ups
Dear ginger mathematician, Hello! I want to thank you so so much for your help in math. I took the oct/nov 2022 igcse math 0580 and i got an A* thanks to you 😁 Your videos really helped me, especially in vectors !!! I was helpless before i found your channel and i am really grateful for your help such that i was able to successfully do the vector questions during my exam. Anyway, you really helped me a ton during my igcse experience and made an impact in my journey. I will remember u FOREVER!! And i hope you continue to help and teach other students in need like me 😊😊 YOUR A REALLY GREAT TEACHER EHE !!!!!!
Wow krissy really well done!! 🙂 👍 Glad I could make vectors that little more understandable!
❤
I absolutely cannot thank you enough for how much youve helped me in IGCSE math 😭
Appreciate your work sir :)
No problem Rira, glad I've helped so much 😊 Any suggestions for future videos please let me know 👍
Thank you so much! I had prepared all of the syllabus for my mock tests but once i started doing harder questions i realised I needed practice and method improving. Your videos have helped me significantly for my IGCSE 0580 exams. I still have an year left till the boards, but i m really glad i m strengthening my concepts early on.
Hard work put in now will make your examination year SO much easier 😊 Keep doing what you are doing!
Love the new visuals, looking a lot cleaner!
Thanks Marc 😊👍
-looking out for signs is really important, usually the presence of a - sign can REALLLYYY change the final answer
-not reading the given. ive fell into this mistake quite a few times and it cost me alot of marks :(
-not editing what you wrote on a diagram. say for example you're solving circle theorems / bearings and you write an angle on the diagram then change your mind and write something different on the final answer area, you'll be penalized for the wrong answers on the diagram. i was a mark away from getting a full mark because of this :(
Editing the diagram with updated information is SO important - I think diagrams in iGCSE Maths is a whole video on its own... 😊
coudl you elaborate on the last point?
@@mariyamajaz ofc! so when you're solving circle theorems, you have a diagram with the circle and all the lines in it. let's say you have angle x = 65°. if you write x = 45° in the final answer area and label it 45° on the diagram while solving, and then later you realize it was wrong and change your answer in the 'x= ____' area, you have to change it on the diagram too and if you don't you loose a mark. does that make sense?
@@SaraMohamed-fp3kl oh but isn't the diagram your rough working? If not, do they acc check it?
@@mariyamajaz well yea it is but if you don't correct it then you contradict yourself, plus it'd confuse you anyway so best to change it
as for if it's marked my teacher and private tutor both said yes they do mark it, and even incase they don't, it's best to change it just to be safe
Thanks, sir, got my exams this year and it clashes with chemistry so I'm pretty stressed. I recently discovered your channel an I've already gone through functions and sets. They were super helpful. Thank you! keep going
Will do 😉👍
its not clashing with chemit clashes with evm
@@SAMURAIFFBACK It's clashing with chemistry on the 4th of May
@@Muhabawajid Yeah same for me, paper 4 math clashes with chem and paper 2 maths clashes with bio T-T
@@studyaccount7451 Good luck honestly 🥲
THANKYOUU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE HARD WORK U HAVE PUT IN TO MAKE MATHS SO EASY, PLEASE MAKE MORE OF THESEEE, specially for sequences and venn diagrams and probablity and functions
Hi Rahma, all those topics mentioned I have in my All of iGCSE Maths Playlist 😊👍: czcams.com/play/PLYNwTLhq9xZbbYnEipbmqFWb4b-NpOkpd.html
You are absolutely amazing sir
Your videos are always helpful
Thanks Shadow Gaming, always trying to provide as much valuable information as possible 😊👍
Worst mistake is forgetting your calculator and theres no spare one
Particularly on iGCSE 0607 with graphical calculators! 😆
Hello Mr Ginger Mathematician, I had my FM 0580 paper 2 on 8th February. My performance was outstanding and I am certain I am receiving full marks. I had watched some of your videos and it definitely helped me, thank you and i hope your channel does well.
Thanks Vibin, glad I could help you when you needed it 🙂👍
Did you get full marks?
Great video TYSMM:)))
No problem Fatima 😊👍
Thanks a lot teacher!
No problem Johnathan and thank you for your e-mail 🙂 👍
Sir thank you for teaching this whole year i hope my igcse exam will go easy and i will get A* because all my topic are covered. You are great help for us students thank you again
No problem Aditi - any video ideas please let me know 🙂👍
can you please share mistakes in the 3d volume & mensuration questions?
That's a great follow-up video idea Eshna, thank you 😊
Thank you for doing my suggestion : )
Thank you for the idea Doffy 😊
No problem 👍
i have seen some questions where they specifically state "WITHOUT THE USE OF A CALCULATOR" do these types of questions come in IGCSE as well or it only for practice in some practice papers
Yes they do 👍 But almost always on 0580 Paper 2 for calculating addition / subtraction / multiplication / division of fractions... 👍
@@GingerMathematician alright. thanks!
great thumbnail btw and great editing love
Bit of an upgrade on the production values 😉
* not reading the question properly (or twice). Then possibly not giving the answer as requested (one mark dropped) e.g. 'give answer to 2dp' or 'give answer in standard form' or 'leave answer in terms of pi'. All instant one mark gone, sad! Rushing through to get to the answer fast because you really know the answer, getting too excited perhaps, can be a cause...slow and steady.
Reading carefully how the examiner wants the answer displayed is a fundamental skill irrespective which Maths exam it is... 🙂👍 How're you getting on Stephen? Long time no see!
@@GingerMathematician Very well thank you, down in South of France! Really enjoying your content and presentation style.
random question but, when i find my self correct my past papers and look at the marking scheme, I find the 4-5 marker questions where you can get all the marks ONLY if you have all the steps included despite having the right answer, the problem Is I do make sure to write down every single step i go through to get my answer including the formula however sometimes theyre not similar to the marking scheme or in the right order, will that really make me loose my marks?
The way we mark is to check for the right answer - if it is there then I scan to see supporting method for that answer is there in whichever order, then will award full marks 🙂👍
Sir, what do you predict will be the feb/march thresholds for mathematics specifically an a star.
Very hard to say - I would use this video as a reference point 👍: czcams.com/video/AVxznqEjZao/video.html
Thank you sir 🙏
No problem Simba, hope your studies are going well?
@@GingerMathematician thank you l really appreciate that 🙏
hello I have a doubt, its not related to the video but in my mock -2 exam i used all of the working space but then changed my answer , because there was no space on the paper i used the last blank page to show the working, lucky for me the examiner allowed me to do it, but suppose the same happens with me in the official exam will i still get the marks ?
Hi Ishaan you need to keep to the space in the working space. If you run out ask the invigilator to give you an extra answer booklet 🙂👍
Sir I have kept in mind the first mistake and wrote it down with pencil on paper and copied them later when needed is that correct method
That will definitely be helpful 😊👍
Hi sir, i just gave my a level mathematics exam, so there was a question for binomial coefficients for 6 marks, and i have just shown a 3 step working, along with the correct answer, i was asking if i will lose any marks because of small working with a few skips in steps...
So long as the answer was correct, the working would be enough to support full marks 👍
Thanks Sir, I have my exam next week, ANY TIPS
I will be making a general iGCSE Maths Exam tips video but I have tips video for the specific papers on the channel... 😊👍
Hey!
I have a question, hope you answer it!
What if I show minimal working for a problem but still get the final answer right. Not saying no working, but like not exact method marks. Hope you understand.
Usually Namratha we look for the correct answer and when we see supporting working, then we would give it the full amount of marks 🙂 👍
@@GingerMathematician Ohh. Thank you so much!
You are a complete gangster. Your information is great and helpful.
Thanks Miles 😉
i missed my A this term just because i didnt use the values properly it said 255 i did the math with 225, these honestly are the worse sorts of mistakes u can make
As long as you're learning to fix these mistakes now before the real exams 🙂 👍
@@GingerMathematician im trying my best :)
sir, if its not too much troube couId u make a video going into more detaiI about the first mistake(rounding) because i aIways get the correct answer but then the rounding is wrong
Like the idea Mahmood, see what I can do 🙂👍
i got told by nicholas denk to watch u ur a big help
Great I could help Harvey, how are you getting on with your iGCSEs? 👍
Hi ginger mathematician if its possible, can u pls tell the year, variant, and season if you're going to make a vid. Example 0580/21//m/j/17. It would be much easier for me to identify the past year question.
Thank you - I will see what I can do in future videos 👍
thank u sir
No problem Mystic 😊
Writing bearing in only 2 digits... Finding bearings anticlockwise
Happens often too Aryan 🙂 👍
I think an another mistake could be making the graphs with pens instead of pencils since I have seen many students goof up there
And easier to fix too with diagrams in pencil 👍
@@GingerMathematician Indeed sir
Lovely video❤️❤️Do u remember me?
I do 😊 Did you find the video useful?
Of course sir
I watch ur video more than mr beast
Tomorrow is my maths exam 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 can please give me a tip to get good mark in IGCSE EXAM PLEASE
Check out my last community post Rajan 😊👍
#First
Nailed it 😉

ur such a cutie ily
🙂 👍
Sub done
Thank you 🙂 👍
a huge repeated mistake that I've made in common assessments is inputting -9² instead of (-9)² on a calculator, its two very different answers ⋟﹏⋞
That's a great idea as a tip for a CZcams short 🙂👍
@@GingerMathematician definitely! ive made that mistake way too often
Sir ca u check the email with name Raisanskriti69
I will :-)
