I’m sick of Faysal overrating Madrid players. Haaland had one of the best individual seasons in recent history with the amount he and City accomplished. Vini did the same last season but was not as prolific as Haaland, which was clear because Benzema led that Madrid team to their success. Until Mbappe leaves, Haaland has currently overtaken him as the best player in the world. The World Cup is one competition that Mbappe had every advantage of performing well in. Haaland performed well in all competitions. As of right now, Start: Haaland, Bench: Mbappe, and Sell: Vini. There’s no other order.

Not at all. Mbappe is simply a better player than Haaland. Stats won't change that. If Haaland wants to be a better player than Mbappe, he needs to significantly outperform him in terms of G/A, which he didn't, or improve his all around game to be close to his level. Haaland was influential in the UCL run of course but he didn’t make them win it considering he didn’t score in the semi-final or final, it was more of a team effort and he was the missing piece of the puzzle. While I agree Mbappe didn’t have a great season overall, diminishing the World Cup is criminal: it’s the biggest competition in football and Mbappe was arguably the best player in it and scored a hattrick in the final.
Haaland is definitely second for what he did this season, but Mbappe is clear. Mbappe carried France to the WC Final and then scored a hattrick. He couldn't have done much more while Haaland went missing in the Semi Final and Final of the Champs.

I'd argue that Haaland is more replaceable than Kante and Salah based on those years. People have to take into account that Salah had 32 goals and 10 assists in the Prem in his debut season as a WINGER. And City undoubtedly had a much better team built around Haaland this year than Liverpool had for Salah in 2017/18. Not saying that Haaland didn't have huge impact but the service he got definitely helped him reach the heights he reached. Salah's individual impact was simply higher.
