- This is a followup from the last one (This Magic Moment) using a digital master from my CD. The quality of the music of that era was astounding
compared to the trash on the airwaves today. These are artistic compositions of the highest caliber and I'm honored to be able to rework these oldies classics and send them back out. People may not know: Jay and the Americans were the opening act for The Beatles' first American tour, and later opened for The Rolling Stones. Also, when Jay Black left the group and went out on his own, his back-up band featured Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, who would go on to greater fame as Steely Dan.
Excellent sounding oldie. Jay and The Americans were great. A fantastic era of music the likes of which will never be seen again.

This takes me back to the great times growing up in the 50's & 60's in NY. So glad I grew up in those times with these great songs. Never forget!

I so agree with you. Today's rap crap makes me want to vomit. Apparently it was invented 50 years ago in The Bronx - what a waste of an invention. David Platt was on par with Frankie Valli, etc. So good.
