    These wild chickens are so elegant. The males have beautiful shiny feathers and their body is so slim compared to their domestic counterpart.

    Chickens (aka junglefowl) are the type genus of the order Galliformes (Gamebirds) and the family Gallidae, which also includes the bamboo partridges, francolins, spurfowl, peafowl, arguses, peacock pheasants, crimson-headed partridge, chestnut-necklaced partridge, green-legged partridge, snowcocks, blue quail, king quail, snow mountain quail, malagasy partridge, sand partridge, and see-see partridge.

      Phasianidae, isn't It?

    • @indyreno2933
      @indyreno2933 Před 2 lety

      Actually, because Gallus has prior authority over other genera like Phasianus, Pavo, Tetrao, and Meleagris, the order is called Galliformes and there are actually now nine extant families within the order, being Megapodiidae (Megapodes), Cracidae (Curassows, Guans, and Chachalacas), Numididae (Guineafowl), Rollulidae (Jungle Partridges), Phasianidae (Pheasants, Monals, Monal Partridges, and Tragopans), Odontophoridae (New World Partridges and Quails), Perdicidae (Old World Partridges and Quails), Tetraonidae (Grouse, Turkeys, and Koklass Pheasants), and Gallidae (Chickens, Bamboo Partridges, Francolins, Spurfowl, Peafowl, Arguses, Peacock Pheasants, Crimson-Headed Partridge, Indochinese Forest Partridges, Snowcocks, Dwarf Quails, Malagasy Partridge, and Desert Partridges), Gallidae is the namesake family of the Galliformes order, thus making Gallus the official type genus of Galliformes.

      these are pure, but if you have laos red jungle fowl, you'll know that the comb is larger because of the high corn being feed... this place is a bird watcher area and the area is baited to attract birds...
      i know because i have pure laos red jungle fowl strain and when they first started out their comb is really small compared to this one... as you feed him with high proteins it starts to enlarge its comb... i got all mine from laos and pure lao red jungle fowl.. i hate pure or even those are crossed to domesticated chicken, the chicks are still really skittish and wild, unless you crossed them out 3 times, then they become more tamer.

      What are you talking about its an adult male, probably he's 10 yrs old its natural for the comb to go sideways if its too old.
