You should have asked what is the issue & why is an operation needed. They would have given you the reason. I have ended up in the GMC twice, 2nd emergency operation and a risky one. The doctors were good and helpful, I didn't use any favours. Now when I visit them, I ask questions and they are nice to give their opinion and explain.

Head injuries are dangerous there should be thorough scanning of the head after 2-3, months to check if there is clotting of blood which leads to tumour.

Bambolim is a free Govt hospital so the doctor would get no benefit from telling you to undergo surgery unless he thought it was necessary. May be he thought you had a blood clot.
The private hospital would not have the staff or the facility for the head surgery so they told you it was OK.
You must take a third opinion in the Govt hospital in Kuwait.
You must not let your lack of education interfere with your health.

@@galabaga Absolutely right, one person have bad experience doesn't mean, whole GMC is bad, I can challenge that there are many people who are benifited because of GMC, even I am one of them, there are many Good Doctors like Dr. Ramnath, he is like a God to me. It is good to raise your voice against such negligence some times. other wise they will become dictators, but don't miss Guide the poor people who can't afford Private Hospitals, or I don't know that may be you are funded by private Hospitals to misguid poor people

GMC hospital is not like before as with the influx of All India students enrolled in our GMC it has become a mess as they want to learn from patients as Gunie pigs by unnecessary operating perhaps with no consultations from their Seniors . Last six months back, same thing happened to one of my relatives was referred from Hospicio to Bambolim, on admitting she died within an hour's time, which i think there's something fishy going about in Bambolim. And above all even to release the dead body they make you run to all departments. One point to be noted why are politicians not willing to be admitted to bambolim hospital, if they say it is the best hospital in the state. They all want to be admitted to some hospitals in Mumbai or they fly to USA to be treated. Remember my beloved Goans this is eye opener to one and all but once again remember the eyes of the Lord Jesus is not shut, he sees everything.

He has a point. I also know a family the father was admitted for some stomach pain. At GMC they operated him, operation failed reoperated and sent home. They were not ready to admit him again when he started feeling pain again. And finally he died. At GMC you know someone you survive otherwise RIP.
