We have 8 siblings in our family. Grew up in a catholic household- Today; We are completely fractured. Half the siblings are confused about who Jesus is and the other half believe in Jesus. The 2016 election seemed to have fractured our family. Then c ovid hit. The fracture became bigger! God help the families across the world!!
There with you. Grew up in an extremely unloving, abusive, violent catholic house; mom was too afraid to stop it - allowed the catholic grammar school authority to raise us; had no grounding. Almost ran away at 16 in 1973 to Pastor Chuck Smith's The Lord's House for safety when my dad found out I had gotten saved - he had, none of them knew, what that meant. I had to remove myself from my surviving siblings after being cussed out and abused by both the non-Bible reading caths because they found out I wasn't catholic anymore - hence, I'm an anathema - and the atheists; so I couldn't even allow myself to go to my mother's burial. When my baby brother, 57, died of a sudden heart attack 4 yrs ago, oldest atheist unloving brother sent a text via robot voice. That was the final straw. I miss them, I pray for them, but no one abuses me anymore. And yes, the 2016 nailed the coffin. I DID bring my parents, 93 and 90, to Christ right before they passed though. PRAISE GOD. We all just need to keep praying! God bless you, honey.
I have found that people are so divided right now. I'm so sorry your family is going through this. Lord, please be with @maryronan8446 and bring her comfort. Lord, please let the believers "shine their light" and the unbelievers know that it's You. Help us Lord to be kinder to each other. Amen.

I have to do that in my own mine! One time in my life, I spoke something really awful about a friend knowing it would be repeated and it was. I’m haunted by it to this day. (Forgiven I know, but the enemy hauls it up now and then.)

What a great reminder! And yes we ARE spoiled in the west to the point of “entitlement” and I have to ask the Lord to forgive me for feeling like that at times. We are so blessed in the USA! Remember those who are suffering under extreme poverty and persecution. Read about their lives and look at photos and/or video and remember to pray for them. Shalom 🕊✝️❤️
I highly recommend reading book The Insanity of God by Nik Ripken. It's eye opening and I could clearly see how spoiled we are here in West. We used to be more thankful! Persecuted Christians consider it privilege to suffer so we don't have to. Let that sink in- and they TRULY suffer. We think if our power is out an hour we suffer. Lord help us bc harsh times are going to wake us.😢
@@christiemcrae4669 thanks for the suggestion! I get a monthly newsletter from Voice of the Martyrs and yes our Christian family suffers unspeakably in other parts of the world. The persecution is maybe as bad as Roman times towards the early church. I am very grateful to God for his providence especially after going through a bad hurricane almost 5 years ago. God came through over and over after that ordeal! Glory to God forever! 🙌🕊✝️

I am so glad you posted this. I needed to hear it. I am struggling right now with some of the harsh words that were spoken to me, that were so incredible rude. I was so upset I came home and got on my knees and prayed. I prayed for that person (not the first thing I usually do), and I asked for forgiveness for all the harsh, rude words I've spoken. There have been too many, especially in the last few years. Then I heard this. You're right, we have to look inward first. Thank you so much.
in this world of evil... that is something that i need to be reminded of daily... because i know when i feel ill will against my fellow man, it makes me feel dirty ... and i ask The Lords forgiveness for my anger and contempt for them because i know my God disapproves of that in me...

I have been having anxiety.. I saw there was a scientific study that proves the feeling of gratitude and anxiety come from the same part of the brain and can’t co exist . So they proved that if a person starts thinking about all the things that they are grateful for the anxiety can not be present. It goes away. I like to make it my daily routine to list 20 things I am thankful for with my first 20 steps. They proved the Bible is correct🤣🤣 love it . Gratitude wins!

Oh Pastor Jack, you are so right! Thank you. I'm taking your advice to heart.....I have become grumpy in my old age, and I don't like it. I've become impatient with people (even my own lost loved ones) who are so caught up in this world and all that it offers them, they have closed their ears to anything involving faith in Jesus. My heart breaks for them, but they have become condescending towards me. My tendency is to isolate from them. I would appreciate your prayers.

“Starving children in India (1965)” this is what my parents told me when I refused to eat Lima beans. My system was to ask for seconds on liver. They were thrilled that I liked liver. I would hide the Lima beans under my second portion of liver. Today I’m almost 65 and there are even more starving children in India and I still don’t care for Lima beans. My blessings have increased to the point that I can’t even count them all. When God fills a cup it always overflows. I don’t feel guilty about it but I can’t comprehend it all. I gaze at the wonder but stare at Jesus.
I am convicted. Please pray for me. I so want to be a nicer person.
