Getting The Arch Back Into Architecture

- This is an appendix to my Master Thesis in Architecture at Chalmers University of Technology. The title of the thesis is "Getting the arch back into architecture" and was presented in May 2014.
The lasers are guided by Grasshopper through the amazing plug-in Firefly, which connects Grasshoper with Arduino micro controllers.
I read about Cuban tile vaults (catalan vaults) in a web magazine in 2009 and it caught my intrest, which led me to read some research by John Ochsendorf and the new Thrust Network analysis by him and Philippe Block. Since then i have followed their research on compression structures and decided to dig a bit deeper in my master thesis to find a practical work flow to design vaults today, since I think they are an important part of future sustainable development in Architecture.

Sure, I uploaded main script to s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=03396242146051340779 now (i think it is the final version I made before the workshop).
But I doubt you will be able to use it since it was never cleaned, commentend and optimized. It references some rhino geometry too. But have a look if you like (spaggetti :).
It uses the plugin Firefly (amazing plugin for sensor equipment i GH) and maybe LunchBox and Kangaroo. I don't recall if they were in this script or another. This one was for just for the laser control I think. And maybe the brick tiling.
