Я слушаю Высоцкого с 11 лет. Я терпеть не могу, когда какой-либо актер или певец поют его песни. Пусть они талантливы и у них красивый голос. Но песня выхолощивается, теряет смысл, теряет очарование. Все время сравниваешь с тем как пел Высоцкий
Повторюсь. Диана настолько искренне, настолько гениально, что сумела сохранить всю красоту, всю пронзительность великой песни великого Высоцкого
Высоцкий проживал свои песни. И Диана, как и Высоцкий, проживает песни, которые поёт.
И эта черта объединяет их.

The hero of the song drives horses along a cliff over an abyss through wind and fog. He feels that the end is near, but this causes him 'catastrophic joy'. The hero asks the horses not to obey the whip and gallop 'a little slower' - he dreams of stopping on the edge for a moment to water the horses, he had no time to live and cannot even finish his song.
Although the song describes a quick jump, it was written at a leisurely pace. Vysotsky based the song on old Russian melodies with gypsy folklore.

Vladimir Semjonovich Vysotsky (1938-1980) was a Russian poet, actor and singer.
Vysotsky was an extremely inconvenient poet and singer for the state. In his songs he sang about topics that officially did not exist in the Soviet Union: prostitution, crime, anti-Semitism. He is still known today in Russia, where he is considered the greatest songwriter of the 20th century.
Vysotsky's funeral took place during the Moscow Olympics. The Soviet media did not mention his death. But the news spread like wildfire, and the funeral turned into the largest non-state demonstration Moscow had ever seen.
In 1987 he was posthumously awarded the State Prize of the USSR. In a 2018 survey of the most important personalities in Russia of the 20th century, Vysotsky came in second behind Yuri Gagarin. The asteroid of the outer main belt (2374, Vladvysotskij) was named after him. (Wiki)

Некоторая часть западного общества Высоцкого знает, но как ,,борца с режимом" , хотя он им никогда не был. Отсюда и несколько извращённое восприятие его творчества. Диана не разочаровала, как и всегда. В 17 лет так спеть не способен никто в мире. И для большинства взрослых это тоже непосильная задача. Единственное, что вызывает вопросы - междометия ,,ой" и ,,да" , которых у Высоцкого нет. Ещё вопрос к минкульту - ценит ли оно людей, доносящих до иностранцев русскую культуру?

The song is about someone at the end of their life and demanding more time. The general metaphor being that life itself is nothing more than a carriage or sleigh ride where you're dragged along by unruly or capricious horses. Powerful stuff, which I personally think Diana pulls off with aplomb, but then I'm not Russian so it's just an outsider's view.

Her voice is unique and she is talented and able to put her own style to any song, but I think what she does to captivate most people is she is a master at performing, being in character and portraying emotions. I cry every time I hear her sing. I feel sorry for people that don't hear and feel the whole performance, they are missing out on art.

Высоцкий был нашим кумиром,наравне с Битлз! В 15 лет я играл на гитаре и первая песня,которую я выучил " здесь вам не равнина" Высоцкого,,,на всю жизнь он остался в наших сердцах,в нашей памяти! This was a song of a Russian poet and songwriter Vladimir Vysotskyi ( Владимир Высоцслий ) from the 70ies of last century. Vysotskyi was a beloved singer by the nation in Soviet Union, but the lyrics of the songs bothered the Soviet Government. Vysotskyi was born in 1938, and he died in in the age of 42 years, I guess, in 1980. There is also a Russian film telling the story of this famous Russian singer. His songs were extraordinary in that certain period of time in Soviet Union governed by communist party. Diana said in the beginning, that people who got to know, that she was going to sing this song, said that she was to young to perform it. In the end Diana said that this was to her a complicate song.

Reminds me of the legendary performance of Simon and Garfunkel's "sound of silence" by metal group Disturbed. Simon has been quoted as saying their version was a masterpiece, sung with an anger that they felt it deserved. I am almost sure that since the above reaction, the reactor read about the background of this song. In any case the auther of the song Vladimir Visozky, died when he was quite young 42 yo.
Probably as a result of drinking and using drugs. What he asks for in this song, is to slow down the run of the "horses" which drag him towards the end of his life. Diana sings and acts the song wonderfully. Finally she pointed out that her teacher and principal told her that she was too young to sing such a song, and she was not going to succeed. But she thought that she could do it, and to my opinion she succeeded to deliver the emotions and the massage very well. She is a real wonderful talent.

Диана лучшая, бриллиант России.
Он мне напоминает, как в фильме "Иван Васильевич меняет профессию", как Иван Грозный, попав в московскую квартиру, сел на тахту и нажал задницей на "плей" магнитофона.. Тогда там то же пел Высоцкий...И Грозный очень похоже, заслушавшись, "страдал", и "рычал" и мотал головой из стороны в сторону, схватив себя ладонью за лобешник...Высоцкий рвёт нервы своим творчеством, и пробуждает в человеческом духе/душе, человеческие подлинные начала...Диана молодец.. Она предоставило этому "рупору святой человечности" свое тело и свой голос для этой очистительной проповеди гуманизма.. И с этим хорошо и мужественно справилась.. Ведь темные силы всегда хотят потом отомстить за успех доброты, и победу Света над тьмой...

Смысл этой песни великого В.С. Высотского заключается в том, что жизнь наша очень скоротечна и все мы когда-то окажемся на её краю. И как бы мы не пытались отсрочить этот финальный момент жизни, мы все вовремя попадём на Суд Божий. Но "...почему же ангелы поют такими злыми голосами???" А вы считаете, что свою жизнь проживаете праведником? А кони, сани, снег это красивая аранжировка смысла песни.

To add a little - at the end she says that her teacher and the people around her told Diana that they didn't think she would be able to cope with this (too young) and carry it. She truly proved them wrong. The brilliant thing is she didn't try to copy the great VS Vysotsotskiy but put her own interpretation on to this moving prophetic song (the poet himself died very early) and, God, it is moving. Goosebumps and tears - and I am 70. Wonderful performance and thanks for your promotion of this for all of us to enjoy.
