Yo, I incorrectly state that CP3 got to Houston in 2017. He actually arrived in 2018. Sorry about that!
No harm no foul. "Refff!" - James harden
you good
He arrived in the 2017-18 season so were right before
Edit: nvm you meant the 2018 playoffs that made more sense
What if, and I’m talking out of my ass here, he deliberately throws games for some monetary gain?
It’s okay! Now we’re the worst in the league tragically!
Jimmy Butler seems to be the opposite of Harden. Saves his best performances in the playoffs and never quits. Tough love leader as well.
Absolutely. Playoff games are much higher intensity and more defense focused. That's where the value of 2 way players really shows. Guys like PG and Kawhi made a name for themselves in the playoffs guarding LBJ. Same as Jimmy back when he was in Chicago. In regular season when teams are not trying as hard defensively, that's where the talented stars shine. In the playoffs, you need to have the mentality .
See the crazy part about this statement is that Jimmy Has MORE games where he played bad in the postseason but Yall seem to forget about that cause his 2020 finals run. For example… in 2021 Jimmy got swept and put up HORRENDOUS NUMBERS , if harden put up them numbers the media would never let him hear the end of it. So Can people plz stop tryna push this agenda that jimmy butler is this postseason god
My man. U touched on my point. I love Jimmy cuz he has that dog in him. Bigger the stage, bigger the dog. Plays with passion.
Jimmy had 3 horrific games against the Celtics that cost them the series
@@dadillonful he was injured and then had an mj level game in g6.
I think James Harden actually is the same player in the playoffs but that itself is the problem. A lot of NBA players coast through the regular season so when the playoffs come, they can turn it up to 10. James Harden just thinks there’s nothing he can do when teams turn up the defense so instead of attacking the challenge he gives up and says he got out played when really he just wasn’t trying.
yeah no
harden is just a terrible player lol
@@woodsglobe2514 bad bait
@@deonnelson9780 “its scary hours” 🤡
Well said
His moves are too predictable and he gets less foul calls in the playoffs and I think teams figure out how to defend him he gets worse at the end of the series in game 5, 6, and 7

I mean he doesn't have any help... if only he had an MVP with him and some good players... oh wait!
He always wanted to be “the man”, but when it comes 4th quarter…. “Never mind, just kidding.”
I just think it's a motivation issue. Getting MVPs is his championship.
also he cant flop that much now
yup, he doesnt care if his team loses when he gets a mvp title its enough for him
It's not a motivation issue he played hard in Houston his last few seasons. Every since the hamstring injury he's been ass his confidence is shattered.
Shaq tin a fool champion too. "Numbah 1, James Harden!"
5yrs from now, this comment applies to Embiid
James Harden is a very talented scorer that many defenders watch how he plays and plans ahead for him. The thing is, Harden's game is so linear. He just do the same thing over and over again, so defenders are prepared. AND the refs do a good thing in the playoffs to just limit the whistles. They want the players to play and not affect the game by the officiating too much and we all know that Harden's points are made on the foul line. PLUS, Harden just quits of he doesn't get his way. WAAAAAY too diva even for this era that is labeled "soft"
Harden is a good player. No doubt. But he seems to be quick to fizzle out in games where everything is on the line.

KEEP PUMPING THE CONTENT CASEY!!! IM ADDICTED
Seeing slim Harden again is an eye opening flashback. That metabolism drop in your 30s is no joke if you don't work out.
He plays 40 min a game in a professional league every other night week in and week out and you think he doesn't work out? 😂 You people are funny
He was literally playing great and he literally quit that’s crazy 😭
He prefers the bright lights of night clubs instead of the bright lights of the playoffs. He just doesn't have championship DNA
this is why i always laugh at the nba analysts trying to explain this stuff technically instead of mentally like espn do. espn is all former players. they know the mental side is far more important then the tactical one.
@@Zaghzackio Every player goes to clubs lmao stop with the with the dumbass NBA players shouldn't be allowed to have fun thing it's corny.
@@Zaghzackio it’s not even him having Championship dna harden is also just the most cursed player in nba history like 2018 when they lost to the warriors and harden had a bad game 7 he shouldn’t had been the only all star on the court nobody makes the nba finals being the only all star vs 4 to 5 of them like bro if cp3 was healthy the rockets would of won the nba championship that is just hella unlucky and 2021 playoffs same thing happens when he is going to win the championship he is just the most unlucky person in nba history like he shouldn’t need to show up every single elimination game to win a ring it’s like the nba gods doesn’t wants him to win witch is the main thing on why he hasn’t won a ring he’s cursed simple
James harden literally just quits at the end of the series in the playoffs , his moves and step backs ? EASILY predictable & he gets less foul calls in the playoffs than he got during his days in Houston which I don’t find all that shocking mind u
Sounds like johnny arnnet.
Every NBA player is predictable he's just bad now he needs to work hard in the off-season and regain his burst back.
@@deonnelson9780 with harden its extra predictable though. Teams had 0 worry about him offball/never had to worry about contesting a midrange pullup. Granted at his peak he was an all time iso scorer and ball handler but the complete reliance on two moves imo made it much easier for the great defensive teams to plan for deep into playoff series
Been listening to you for a few weeks and I gotta say I love your content. I will say you have a few comments that leave me absolutely flabbergasted. Saying Harden was traded for two role players makes me wonder if you know basketball before 2012…
I can't believe you uploaded the same (though more detailed) video than Jonny Arnett, on the same day.
This aged perfectly
In 2017 playoffs, Cris Paul was not with Harden yet, he joined Rockets since 2018.
actually he joined in the 2017 off-season not 2018
Great vid buddy
he’s good when the games almost don’t matter but when it comes to the end in the games they need he’s nowhere to be found
The moves that he can easily do in the regular season just don’t work in the playoffs. The pace is faster. Defense is more intense and you have to be able to make adjustments on the fly. He gets gassed really fast and when he’s tired he starts making unforced mistakes. He has to focus on conditioning this summer. No way around that.
I think it’s all mental with harden. He gets in his own head and for one reason or another under achieves. You showed he had some monster games followed by horrible ones. It weird.
He also need to rehab better his hamstring injury has affected him badly.
Can u do this with Steph, cause I’m tired of all the fake narratives saying he’s not clutch
haters go silent after he goes clutch. that's why
Several championships with another on the horizon isn't bad for someone who's "not clutch" 😮
Hes not clutch. Hes like 0-8 in game winning/tying in the Finals. Hes overrated. His rings dont count
@@Edogawa199X Ok then I guess everyone elses rings don’t count then either
Steph is great just not as great as people want to believe. Never the best player on your own team for 3 rings says alot about how "good" you are vs the best.
Interesting. Would like to see CP3's playoff stats in his close out games
It could just be a list of injuries?
He's just as bad a choker
People don’t talk about that but remember when Ron Artest gave James Harden a concussion that might be why
76ers should not pay harden the max
Pat bev will give him the super duper max
@@princewillmadugba which is $1 in his budget
Is anybody else seeing this after he only had nine points in game seven against the Celtics? Or is it just me?
First like. Keep up the content A.M
It's like when the other players play their best and defenses game plan against him with their best players he just can't get off uncontested 3s and the touch fouls aren't called the same. It's almost like when players/teams play harder because it's the playoffs Harden can't seem to play at the same level he can in the regular season when players/teams don't play at such a high level. I hope the sarcasm wasn't to thick. Some players rise up to meet and surpass the challenge they face and others don't. But those who can't stop trying to play hero ball no matter how many shots they brick end up being to problem their team cannot overcome. Harden and Westbrook have done this more than anyone else in the past few years.
Westbrook has a low basketball IQ. Harden lacks heart and physical conditioning. The NBA playoffs are better when they are not in it.
Just playing for the money...biggest choker in the playoffs, no desire to win..
Are you still doing the sixers off-season video? There’s a lot of questions there to be answered

Nice video
On the thumbnail his bear just keeps getting longer 😂
Watching this a year after and he did it again. Had a great game 6 and completely choked Game 7 against the Celtics
Chris Paul was not yet on the rockets when Harden had than meltdown against the Spurs in the 2017 playoffs. Chris Paul arrived in Houston the season after that.
Harden's time with the Rockets was do-or-die with 3 -point shooting😄🚀🏀🏀🏀
Harden became more in love with his brand and his image and being a star than winning.
Imagine that thunder team with all those players in their prime?! Pretty crazy to think harden was coming off the bench!!!
That 2017 Spurs game was even worse than the numbers. Harden legitimately looked like he gave up on his team
he's such a good player during the regular season but he always fails me in the playoffs. there was the time he made it to the finals against the warriors in their prime but these last 2 years have been a fiasco
WHY DOES THE EARLY 2010S FEEL LIKE A LIFETIME AGO!?
Probably bcus it was
Kobe Bryant was right when he said James Harden wouldn't win a championship playing this way
That man Harden be puttin’ up TOUR dates!😭
Why anybody would be surprised at james harden melting down under pressure or simply giving up? Its bene his track record his whole career.
yeah, i was expecting the usual Harden after stealing Gm1 in Bos. I was called a hater. Guess what😃we know him better than his fans
Spooky conversations
The biggest Problem is that Hardens style of play is a double edged sword He isos so much and spends so much time and energy dribbling the ball And Exerting extra energy To either Jump and create separation and shoot or Drive And Take contact Over the course of a season It’s going to wear u out especially as he doesn’t keep his body in peak physical shape and is partying a lot So in the playoffs opponents will either just let him wear himself out and shut down his teammates or Force him to give up the ball Plus his lack of off ball game is really not a good way to age Into his mid 30s I think the reason why Him and Paul worked so well in 2018 is because he didn’t iso as much and was actually way more efficient and he went further than he ever did and since in the playoffs
In the past, high usage led to him running out of legs, and a team to built to showcase him.
Now, he was out of shape, cause of his behavior with Brooklyn.
can u do a post loterry mock draft?
Came back after the cdltjcx smoking that 6 pack
Ah you didn’t mention Harden getting blocked by GINOBILI lol
Okc coach is right that Hardens potential is coming off the bench-- like Melo
All those games and they focus on just a game 7 this why I dont take people serious 🤣🤣
Hindsight is 20/20. I like coming back to these videos just to see how bad James Harden has become here in the present 2023. The dude keeps switching teams, hes a spoiled has-been that nobody wants. He no longer has the pull because he no longer plays at a high level especially at the playoffs. Just when it couldnt get worse, it got that much worse and Embiid wasnt much better. The Sixers must be cursed or something. Maybe its just Harden and Embiid, they have amazing regular seasons but fails to show up in the post-seasons.
Chris Paul didn't go to Houston until the 2017 Off-Season btw
Can you imagine if the sixers would have accepted the Pistons offer for Ben Simmons they would still have Seth they would have Sadiq Bay Jeremy Grant so we still have Andre Drummond and I'm pretty sure they would have had the fifth overall pick in this year's draft
That's a mid trade. Shouldve just taken sacrementos trade of held haliburton and picks
I wish we had either. 😢😢😢😢
Choke artists of the nba
0% fight, 0% heart.
He is so passive on both ends of the court and does not even break a sweat. When the chips are down, you still don't see any urgency in his demeanor.
New Ben Simmons?
James Harden & DeMar DeRozan official BFF now 🤣😂😂
That is why The Thunders always saw him as their sixth man bench player :)
One thing that was completely left out is that on the majority of those teams he was “the guy”. and because of that teams would have an entire plan around just him. they would attack him on defense both because it would wear him down and because he was a negative on defense, and they would double and sometimes even triple team him. now i don’t know anyone other than steph curry and james harden in recent history that have been TRIPLE teamed. plus the second time they lost to the warriors was the season that refs hated him bc they didn’t know how to call fouls on his stepback so klay thompson and draymond green were literally fouling him on every 3 pointer he shot bc they could get away with it. so that was rigged from the start against them
I really like the way his game evolved in Philly as a second option to embid, hope they make it far in the playoffs
As a Rockets Homer, I'm thankful for Harden but glad we cut bait when we did. It should have been a season earlier minimally, so we don't get stuck with Wall. This young team should be fun before they're winning.
jalen green is trash and kpj is a headcase lol

He is the biggest “Small Game James”
Those numbers in the thumbnail are like tour dates. Rule changes regarding foul baiting exposed him.
Harden has been horrible in Elimination games for years. No one talks about how in 2016 he got eliminated by warriors without STEPH. Klay and Dray outperformed him massively. In 2017 he was Eliminated by Spurs where kawhi got injured and old man Ginobli in his last year got a bucket and a block on harden to end the series. Hs not good enough to be the best player in his team. Second option at most. Prime Klay is more Valuable in playoffs especially when he’s an elite defender
Harden did it again. 5-16 in an elimination game against the Mavs in 2024. Harden really is 'The Problem'.
And in the game before that he was 2 for 12 (!!!!)
Who is here after hardens latest playoff choke
all he does is step backs and drive in the lane for a foul and that's why he is not scoring like he used to every one knows what he is gonna do, he needs to shot more mid range shots and use his 6'6 frame to get in the paint
He can get to the paint. Its jus when he gets there he is not agile enough to go around players. Not enough hops to threaten the rim area. Not strong enough to thru anyone. He jus leans in with his chest and hopes for the best.
a word i havent used since high school ball theres one on most team hungus hats what harden cares about himself and his style even Kobe said that style doesn't win you championships
Game 6 vs the Spurs is one of the worst playoff performances in a elimination game ever. It literally looked like he had quit on the season.
So literally the opposite of jimmy? Got it
Make a video about lebron and if his finals record is a legit criticism and also the debate whether he is clutch or not late in games.
MORE JAMES HARDEN SLANDER 😭😭😭
And? He's a Fkn BUM
IMO James Harden while in theory has super star talent he is at best a ball dominating 6th man bench spark type guy.
The way he plays “dribble, dribble, dribble” screws up team mates rhythm and giving up the ball last second doesn’t allow them to get going - so puts all the pressure on them.
Jordan Clarkson, Jamal Crawford, Lou Williams might not dribble dribble dribble but they do tend to hog the ball and look for themselves to score first every time like Harden.
But additionally, has Harden ever been in game shape maybe after his stint with the Thunder. For a top tier athlete he looks very chubby (being nice) and like older Wade using a beard to somewhat hide it.
U become great in the regular season,u get a name in the regular season...u become legendary in the playoffs..Harden is just a great player (regular season)
I hope you see this AM. James Harden did it again, played like shit in a game 7, against Celtics (2023 semis) Went 3/11 for 9 points, he can’t perform well when it matters the most, you gotta make an update to this video 👋
Only one question. Why is 45% fg in playoff game marked with red?
Without being able to draw fouls he sucks, ive always said that. His numbers were cut in half when refs stopped giving players easy foul calls
Never talk about basketball again💀
@@abdulazizrahma8796 Check his stats and from 2 years ago and compare them to after the refs stopped giving players foul calls every 10 seconds. His points dropped off big time. Nobody got more points from the foul line than harding
@@Cereal_Killer007 do you not understand that drawing fouls is a skill nobody got as many free throws because they couldn’t

Averaged 30ppg in 2020 playoffs, he plays poorly in elimination games not the playoffs
Elimination games are playoff games and hes alway always always getting eliminated. Let that sink in. I think its worse but lets use your logic.
He does play poorly in playoffs. He averages 22ppg on 42 percent shooting 😂😂😂
@@jasonmoukala8909 22ppg is because of his first 3 years in OKC In Houston he averaged 29pts In the playoffs
It’s Currys warriors not kds
6:24 Houston against KD's warriors?
Seriously bruh?
Even Ty Lue admitted that they'd rather have KD take a shot than Curry
Yes, KD's Warriors...they deferred to KD quite a bit, and Steve Kerr said that KD was the most gifted player of all time.
Curry and Klay are the heart and soul of that team, but from 2016-2019 they were burnt out from playing at such a high level...I believe this was a significant motivator towards getting KD.
The main problem is that for a SPORT rules should be the same ALL THE TIME. Not the nba. There is a big difference in officiating come playoff time. His game is not prepared for playoffs rules.
I still wonder if Daryl Morey will pay him the most awful contract or not... cause If he doesn't know his playoff history and still decides to pay then Philly will suffer.
Hes getting paid as long as morey is in charge. In moreys mind heś better than Jordan
no he’s getting 64m/2y which is pretty reasonable
In short, JAMES HARDEN is a CHOKER in the Play-Offs. Clippers should ready themselves for the biggest choker in their spectacular season.
