I love your garden setup. Your raspberries will have a lot of space to grow and thrive. And you have a great helper.

Would you suggest using a cattle panel to vine them?
Love the dog in the background cleaning itself!! 😅

Extension office says to soak bare roots 3-6 hours. My planting instructions for my last Joan J cuttings said to cut 3" above ground-- none of them lived! Also I read blackberries are supposed to be at least 200' from raspberries. It is difficult to know what to do with too much information!

Thanks for these videos, those movie clips aways make me laugh 😁
I planted my 5 Joan J's three weeks ago, but it feels like an eternity. I dig around 1 yesterday and no growth yet. How long did yours take for growth to show up?
I'm wondering if I should snip the tops like you did, but I don't think that was in the instructions 🤔

Thanks for watching. I am glad you enjoy them. I beleive it was a good month before I saw much growth last year. The plants/roots have gone through a lot of stress/trama so they will need to settle in before shooting off new growth.. hope that helps and make sense! 😃

My heritage bare root didn’t instruct to cut back the cane either…. I’m not sure what to do now

@@fearlbridgefarms9409 I have 5 plants and I did not snip 2 of them. Basically the dead branch is just in in the way but I see no difference! In case anyone wanted to know
