Awareness Acknowledgement and Action with Dr. Takesha Leonard

Residing in low-income communities presents a variety of challenges for families, with access to equitable, affordable and respectful health care being one of the most prevalent. This session focuses on providing primary health care in an inner-city community and the positive impact that quality and compassionate health care can have on an entire neighborhood. This talk aims to allow people unfamiliar with working in Black and Brown communities to glimpse into the day-to-day life of a primary care provider and, ultimately, to recognize the beauty and fulfillment in this work.
