Fremantle, the dark horse of the season. Everyone talking about Sydney, Essendon, Geelong, GWS. Good on the east. Fremantle have flown out of the radar so far, and the results thus far, 7 wins-4 losses-1 Draw and currently 6th on the ladder and in great shape and a good run in the second half of the season.
Close losses to Carlton and Port away also,...
@@BackChatStill losses, but some positives out of those two games. It goes to show that Fremantle can play. But from here on in, they need to win matches, not have close losses. They'll have 10 H&A games left to play, about 6 wins out 10 to play finals at least. Top 4 finish, win every game to get the double chance.
If the Brownlow medal meant what the public thought it did Hawthorn wouldn't have given away Tom Mitchell for a bag of honey soy chicken chips.

And been the best captain in the comp, pretty stiff to leave him out.
There's always some one who's a bit stiff 😆 but yeah Cripps should really be a lock.

As a Swans supporter I'd be down for a Freo Swans Grand Final this season. Could get another preview in Rd16.
Super AA Team there Schoey. Don't mind the Houston. N.Martin and Langford inclusions around the edges. I'd also throw in Zak Butters. Almost single handedly won that comeback game against the Hawks and just so damaging with the footy in many games this season. I know it's hard to find spots for these uber mids but I'd probably put him a smidge ahead of Gulden for instance.
Ryan is a total lock for AA for mind. Such a good user of the footy and gets heaps of it too. So important to what Freo does both offensively and defensively. No idea why oppositions don't tag him a la Whitfield and Stewart.

I agree on McGovern and Barrass. Hard to believe they havent been mentioned by pundits over East. Only Healy has been praising them and he has McGovern at CHB too.
The Eagles backlline is constantly peppered by oppo teams and those two have had absolutely exceptional seasons so far.
That last question was good. Bulldogs get 5 weeks in a row at marvel and freo aren't in wa for a month. Move that freo game to perth.

Facts
Does Skeet realise how many Stars of the game have been suspended ? A plethora and they are still considered the stars of the game because they are/ were so far ahead of the rest of the comp. I agree with the case for not only the Rising Star but also the Brownlow that if you are good enough to win it from missing games via suspension you should be eligible to win it!
The days of King hits and dirty behind the play have passed and that's why the rule was there.
As a Freo fan Warner > Bolton > Baker > Cameron.

Couldn't care less about who the fairest players are, i want the best players regardless of if they've hit someone or not, they miss weeks they'll get out voted anyways, should still be eligible though.
There needs to be malicious grading. What Barry Hall did to Staker was malicious that deserved to graded at that level.

Gaff breaks Brayshaw jaw? Now it becomes malicious. Even though Gaff says he had no intention of hitting him in the face the fact that he threw a punch and it resulted in a broken jaw changes the grading.
What Harley did wasn't malicious. Contemporary rules has him suspended but 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's action was not only OK it was expected at any coming contest.

@@BackChat personally I would like both but as a wce fan. baker feels more attainable this off season and wce need more talent from the draft before Tasmania comes in
And honestly they probably better suit either team. Baker is a fairly young, yet experienced leader, can play a variety of roles, and has a good attitude to get the boys going.
Bolton is more of a special treat, a cherry on top, the icing on the cake; Bolton is the X-factor Freo need. While pretty good, he is not a player to build a team around. Richmond are well and truly into rebuild territory, and if they want to be aggressive, this is the perfect trade. I think Richmond will bottom out for a few years, and be pushing for finals within 4-5 (maybe 3, before falling off in the following years)

Waterman seems one of the most reliable forwards first half of year generally if the ball heading his way can have faith he gonna make it his.

Bolton is pie in the sky stuff, he is contracted until 2028, has a kid and his partner is from melbourne. Don't think bolton would have interest and doubt freo can meet richmonds asking price

As he's still Contracted I don't think Richmond will just settle for 2 First Rounder's. I think it'll take at least 3 picks.
