Im still wondering why i cant just pick up mario and put him on the finish line
The sub goal is to use the interactions to collect as many coins as possible along the way. You of course have to use a degree of imagination as well
You can, but you wouldn't for the same reason that you wouldn’t buy a game and skip to the end credits.
It’s meant to be interacted with. You’re free to do what you want with it, but you’re only ruining your own experience.
Exactly my point even if I want to collect stuff I can just move and skip everything and just skip to the coins and finish line
The point of Lego Mario isn't to "complete the level" like a standard Mario course. Instead, the goal is to collect as many coins as possible, which can be done by defeating enemies, spinning on platforms, walking, and interacting with bricks. Mario is actually pretty smart, and he makes it so you can't just do the same thing over and over until the 60 seconds wear out, and you get more coins if you do different things. You are encouraged to mix it up

I love watching someone play with things I’ll never have.
These sets honestly miss the scope actual LEGO Super Mario sets could achieve. Imagine if LEGO chose more traditional sets for things like Peach's Castle, the Doom Ship, Luigi's Mansion, or even the Mario Galaxy Observatory; instead of adding needless electronics to an already working formula.
It's a hybrid toy, marriage between Lego and video games. You can't play Mario and feel immersed without hearing the iconic sounds and video cues.
@@daver7178 I would argue that the creativity such LEGO sets would provide, would develop that sense of immersion.

I learned two things: don't lose your mushroom for extra points. And use the flat platform for extra coins.
Miss the time when you just could buy a normal lego set (with an ok price) and build it and have fun... not extra apps or stuff like that

How much is like each set?
Does it interact enough for it to know when a bad guy has touched Mario or if he falls off?
The only sensors at the bottom, it has no way of knowing a bad guy. He does have a gyroscope though, so he knows of he's fallen over and will take damage.

My kids (boy 6 and girl 3) were fighting over it while the boy built it. After finishing it they played 5 minutes each with it and not so interesting anymore. They happy with the figure alone and the facial expressions. That's about it.
Don't understand the concept. Why are we collecting the gold, just to compare who has more?
The way I understand it is that it’s basically a buildable game. The point is to compete for a high score in the form of coins using legos.
If you download the app the whole point is to compete and play against other people that post their creations to get as many coins as possible, you can build anything you want as long as you have the pieces and sets 👍
