Heard this song on Barenaked Ladies Radio on Pandora 2 weeks ago. Downloaded it, and immediately fell in love with the station! Tons of classic 90s songs that bring back the memories on that station. Because of that Pandora station, this song quickly became one of my most listened to songs on my iPod. Wish music was still made like THIS today...
Back in the mid 1990s, I lived not far from Gainesville, FL, where Sister Hazel is from. They were doing an interview on a local radio station and did a live a cappella version of this song, with the drummer using a phone book for percussion. It was absolutely amazing. It was clear they used very little production when recording this song because their impromptu version sounded so good. Been a fan of this song ever since.

I was in this audience! Sigh - I miss those beautiful Gainesville days. Andrew is in the Nashville area now. I just love that Ken has kept the band stationed in Gainesville. He has raised a beautiful family there, in the place where I was born. Mother went into labor with me while at Gator Growl. She didn't mention it to Dad until the bonfire (olden days) was waning. I was born three minutes after they made it to labor & delivery! Doc Murphree just happened to be in the unit. Dr. Murphree also brought Tom Petty into the world.
For those of us who lived in Gainesville once upon a time, seeing a group named "Sister Hazel" immediately tipped us to the origin of their name: Sister Hazel's Rescue Mission. Happily, these guys are worth listening to.
Wow. Sister Hazel has been my favorite band for as long as I can remember. This may have been the song that started it, and it was the acoustic version on the cassette tape that I liked most. These days.....I love it all. I almost always cry when I listen to their music, but every tear falls to the beat of the most important music in my life. I sang This Kind of Love at my father's wedding. We both absolutely loved this band. I just wish I could listen to it with him now. Miss you so much, Dad. Aaaand......now I’m crying again. I believe that I’ll turn their albums to shuffle and just let it all out.

Damn this song never gets old.
So many bands of that time had a similar sound.. it was hard to remember who was who at times, yet I liked them.

A real gem of mine ... It's hard to say what it is !
Listening them play tonight, live on New Years in Nashville… absolutely wild and on point still! Well done!!
I saw it on Fox News! Amazing! Happy New Years!
Put the phone down and get into it!

The 90s in two words. Flannel and Herion.
This is one of the songs we used to sing together when we were dating. Miss you and us LW
notice the crowd actually living the moment and enjoying the music which made an everlasting memory to remember:)
Saw them live on a festival tour. Hoisted some random girl on my shoulders for this song. Never forget it.
Damn where has all the good music gone
@@shatonyasmith I know, right? Our generation is always about real good music. You don't hear those anymore.
Right, instead of being on their phones with Facebook live, or recording it. Don't get me wrong that's cool and all, but I think it also takes away from the experience.
i was there i met my wife at this video shoot
