- This is the pretty rare footage from the unreleased "Sense of Doubt" video in 1977 directed by Stanley Dorfman and reworked by Peter Wachsman.
You can see Bowie's beautiful left hand from an interesting point of view. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
once you go bowie, you never go back.
Until you discover Bolan.
i am getting goosebumps from this song, it reminds me of Christiane f , drugs, and the lack of perspective drug users have...
that's exaclty the same for me
And me - I love that movie.. the soundtrack is just a huge added bonus.
idk it makes me feel of something i dont know how to specifiy it like in a strange realm or like places with weird sounds and confuses me
best movie scene ever when this song played
MrTogruta Just remember those drugs were pumped into the Reich from the Soviets through Afghanistan with the cooperation of Honecker . And also remember who was the guy who defeated them: David Bowie, Hero of Holy Germany.
This was not recorded as a video for Sense of Doubt but instead Bowie filmed a handful of takes to a 30 second clip of Sense of Doubt (as well as to Blackout) for use in an RCA advert to promote the Heroes album, similar to what they did in 1974 for David Live and in 1975 for Young Americans.
Here's the Young Americans one czcams.com/video/kjh25cgnpFk/video.html
The left hand path. Bowie always had a sense of humor.
Beautiful song from one of his BEST albums, so in contact with the modern world.
Musical painting of the fear in Berlin before the fall of the Berlin Wall....
This is my left hand. This is my left eye. These are my tears.
He had such beautiful hands
that must be filmed during the photo shooting for the "heroes" album. same jacket, same position. RIP David
Andreas Helmle His hair is much shorter here than in the Heroes photo shoot, and this director isn't the photographer from the shoot either. This must have been done months later.
Don't be an idiot of course he looked the same the song was for the album heroes. U don't do a music video then photo shoot at the same time
This was not done earlier, it was done later, after the album, after the album's photo shoot, during the promotion of Heroes, as in this Italian TV documentary...

he was posing same way he did in cover art for Heroes!
Heinz Rudolf Kunze bezeichnete dieses geniale Instrumentalstück einst als 'Polaroid vom Todesstreifen'. Das Video ist absolut faszinierend.
He is very magical!!
"The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehendeth it not."
He grasps at the light, yet cannot grasp it.
The freedom he knows is within reach, yet he cannot understand it because of the darkness of the world of 1984.
To see Bowie's inspiration for his Heroes album cover check out Alfred Waldenburg's 1909 photograph of the visual artist Piet Mondrian .
I love that Bowie took some inspiration from Mondrian
A work of art, superbly mimed by David Bowie.
the David Bowie hand porn i always searched for
HIS HANDS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL
Give him your hand 'cause your're beautiful!
This is an amazing piece of 'music' - Timeless!
It's how I feel about now...RIP Sir Bowie
This reminds me a whole, whole lot of A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick. It's like the music that runs with the narrative during the film.
Anyhow, the tune really lives up to the song title, Sense of Doubt, just brilliant.
I rolled a car while this song was playing. That was in 1982. This is the first time i have heard the track since.
Still spins me out too much!!!!!
I love this song and all the other instrumental songs in The Berlin Trilogy.
It's so cold and futuristic. Brilliant!
:D
The man is a true artist. For me, this piece will always bring to mind a needle in an arm.
Goes to show that the guy really is a vesatile composer and musician. He can do conventional popular type songs ( singing, lyrics, beat ) AND non-vocal instrumental music. Not many artists could do BOTH ( they can either do one or the other ). Quite a tallent.
This was always astonishingly dark but beautiful. I remember that John Peel described this that it sounds as if sonething has "gone terribly, terribly wrong".
I've so loved this video. Bowie Chi Gong.
A lovely left hand from David....
i love this song !!!!! Bowie is the best !!!
braviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii David Bowie. The future sheds its shadow! ~
utterly amazing!! My gosh !! Thanks so much for posting
such a great video.thx for sharing. He s so beautiful and strange at the same time.i guess i saw tears in his eyes and this song...god this is a masterpiece!
This video made me feel very intense and emotional
I’ve perceived it as a disassociation from yourself. David said when he was a child/ teenager he felt very different from other people
He's just so utterly captivating! And those eyes! Thanks so much for posting! =D
Thanks for posting!
ART. JUST BEAUTIFUL! this is my first time listening to this by the way. ITS AMAZING!
Superb!!!!!!!! Both the instrumental, Bowie and the video.
I've been looking for this music for days... and now I have video too... it touched me to my very soul
One of my fav bits of music - so inspired
many thanks for sharing this....
Very..very cool. Bowie is a genius
BEAUTIFUL!
Well, actually, Christiane F. never wrote the book - it was written by two journalists who based the book on interviews with Christiane. It's stated in the vert beginning of the book.
ART. JUST BEAUTIFUL
Nice post, excellent and beyond.
wow.....i feel unknown
strange and unknown emotions.
amazing
capolavoro assoluto !!!!
Amazing. Love this video
His sense was so rare★✨
BOWIE BOWIE AND BOWIE, ALWAYS BOWIE. tHX FOR THIS RARE VIDEO.
capolavoro ! ed anche il video !!!!!!
I love David Bowie, he's so bizarre... in my opinion, almost never an insult.
I remember the first time I heard this song, it was really late at night and it creeped me out extremely badly...
Amazing, beautiful, strange and lovely at the same time.
Magnifico.
@Vegulcia You'e hit it on the head. Bowie wasn't the first to experiment with electronic music but he did make it very emotional. He put the spirit in the machine.
there is none. it's just an amazing and beautiful video.
Brividi forti....
i love the piano so much
Only Bowie could pull this kind of 'art' off to a bit of odd music- don't you agree? Can't think of another artist in his shoes -can you?
This is in the style of photos taken for the Bowie album, jacket, hand mudras, and intense eyes. There's a video fo the photographer's book. A long collabortion with Bowie. " David Bowie and Masayoshi Sukita - Speed of Life". On youtube.
I feel profundity of his art to look like both the mime and the Butoh
Thank you
I love this video..
Spaziale❤
pure emotion
the hands of an artist...............
This was issued as the B-side to Beauty And The Beast. Would love to have heard the day this was selected on the pub jukebox.
'eye' love it
Great!!!!
I'm a fan since a very long time (+/- 1970). This is so weird! I made a 8mm movie of my hand(s) as a project, in school. It lasted 3 min and had no sound. It was in my third year, so it must have been in 77 or 78. Must have read about this one I suppose..... Astonishing!
AWESOME!!!! (And, yes, his left hand is beautiful.)
Looks like a best forgotten video
Too right.
Scary !??? favorite Bowie album of all time...
..........genio..........
Juan Carlos Bodoque descendiendo a las contaminadas aguas del Canal San Carlos en su reportaje "La ruta de la caca". 😅
Scary...I love it
Thats an interesting observation. I think the music in Clockwork Orange is way ahead of its time, like most of Kubricks work..
la segunda parte de su biografía si la estaba escribiendo cristina F. la primera no, fueron dos periodistas.
Wow !!
Gee...the places that hand has been!
genius artist
And it also responds to people. Right now my heart is aching... and I'm feeling just like this... half-dead... not knowing what to do... just about to crumble down, even though there's something inside of me that wants to keep me going and get over it... and I do want to get over it - I just don't know how - I do not know what Moon to howl on so that the nightmare goes away...
Me parte la cabeza!!🖤⚡
me recuerda tanto a las escenas de christiane f. me encantaba escuchar esto mientras veía las imágenes de la película :)
David Bowie is a way...
Great video and thanks for posting. I guess the youtubing of it erodes the rarity though.
bravoooo
Many years ago I read that Brian Eno was involved in this track.
Bowie Tai Chi.
The cover picture on Heroes!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤DAVID❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is f*cking AWESOME!!
Memorable mime
Brian Eno was heavily involved musically with this and the rest of the album, but Tony Visconti was the producer
Ah yes, Tony “doing a lot of co-production, probably more than people think” Visconti.
Philip Glass didn‘t write that tune. He covered it in the nineties. Writte by Bowie
nice
🎶💜🎶
Ok, I’m scared now.
Mr beautiful eyes!
Adieu!
another planet...
Exactly.
