- kyosho Sand Master 2.0 gear noise fix I have had the common loud gear noise these buggies seem to have from poor quality spur gears so I found this better quality gear on ebay has made a huge difference filmed with my Samsung s22 ultra and edited with powerdirector pro

Straight cut gears will always have noise, but the poor quality of the spur from kyosho was terrible. Good GPM have produced a good replacement.
Interesting tba an after-market manufactor gives the part that works.
To be fair, most Tamiya R/C's have after- market parts to make them better and more robust...... And that's some of their higher end ones. I guess this is Kyosho's entry level RTR (probably got less slop than most hobby grade Tamiya's).

Nice! I hope it is not just getting buggered up from rocks getting in and in the spur gear because my first gen version no matter what I did it always got dirt inside on all the gears..why i finally sold it.
It was loud right out of the box the dust cover does a good job nothing inside even after the beach run so hopefully they did good on this version

Wow! wonderful improvement! Although it seems to me that there are few GPM spur gear parts on eBay... many users have complained that the transmission gears are very delicate and with brushless motors they break! How have your gearbox and differential gears performed? It would be nice to see a top speed at 2s with that Traxxas BL2 engine! Thank you very much for sharing.. I have a kyosho axxe (ez series) and it definitely makes a lot of noise :/ greetings😊😊😊
Much better now. It is always going to be kind of noisy as those internal gears have some really chunky teeth.

I have this ez series cart! And after 13 races with lipo and stock motor, the spur gear teeth have been damaged... what grease do you recommend putting on the spur gear and the pinion to lubricate? Any metal sprockets you recommend for this 2wd? Can they be any sprocket regardless of the teeth? greetings friend! and thank you very much for sharing! wonderful and detailed review!
