- In today's travel vlog tour we will be visiting a local street food market in Bangkok, where we will get a chance to find out what food Thai people love to eat on weekends.
It is a weekend street food market (a floating market) which is rarely included in the majority of tourist guides, so there won't be many tourists, however I highly recommend it for visiting as here you can meet many nice and friendly people, learn how to cook certain desserts, explore a beautiful temple complex and just chill by the canal. I’m a 75 year old Thai woman in a lower-northern province. Believe me, girls in the old days (and most of them in rural villages today) learned to cook at home from their mothers. The street food has just started together with urbanization and expansion of compulsory school education up to at least 9 years (up to 15 years old) since 2002. No wonder, girls in this country are spending more time in schools than in kitchens. Lol.
Nothing wrong with that right? Guys should be able to cook as well.

Just want to explain to some foreigners
who wonder why people in Bangkok depend so much on street food, not on their own cooking. I’m a rural people who cook for myself most of the meals, even when I was studying abroad. So, please don’t misunderstand typical Thai housewives. We also learned to do simple dishes in cooking class or camping activities in high school.
Love the way Thais say English words that begin S: sa-team pot, sa-nake, sa-poon... 😉
Yeah, bc we don’t really have much sound with 2 consonants in the language so we have to break them into 2 syllables instead 😂

This is the healthiest fast food in the World. I live in Thailand and moved from Boulder, Colorado, U.S.A. to Koh Samui I still have a house there and my Thai wife wanted to move to Nakhon Sawan so I now live here.
