Cool video. I was looking for 2 days for a video like this, thanks. I don't know what car was used in this video, however, I recently had to change out a fuel pump on my 2005 toyota carolla, and i followed this video. Everything was exactly how it was on my car and it worked perfect.

In the beginning of your video,you stated in your safety precautions..."Make sure your work area is well ventilated and exposed to heat,electricity, or open flames."You forgot "Not"exposed.With all the tools that were shown before you started using pliers,wouldn't it be much easier to use a socket & wrench?But before all this removing takes place,you need to relieve the fuel pressure by removing the fuel relay fuse from the engine fuse box,then start up your engine til it dies.Remove the ground cable from the vehicle's battery & then start removing parts.

It is a universal lock ring tool similar to OEMTOOLS 25156 Fuel Pump Module Spanner Wrench
($20 - $25 on Amazon) ... it works great as long as it bites onto the lock ring ... might need some slight modification for whichever application you're using it for ... and he didn't clean the crap off the old fuel pump or lock ring ... i wouldn't want that garbage in my fuel tank

Your fuel sending unit is not working which is the floter .some time when you order a fuel pump everything comes together

The Eclipse fuel pump is very simple to replace. Pull up the rear seat. Unscrew the cover plate. Pull out the old crappy fuel pump and replace with a 255lph fuel pump from Summit or JC Whitney and you'll never have a fuel delivery problem again. I replaced the old 60 lph fuel pump with the 255 lph in my 95 Eagle Talon and it performed like a champ.

My mechanic told me my 2009 Ford Taurus was leaking out the gasket that holds the fuel pump in place. He said he had to remove the back seat just like in this video. I’m pretty sure this vehicle is a Ford.

Safety...looked as if the gas tank was full of fuel, in fact when you pulled out the old pump it looked like you took out a bucket of fuel with it- if your vehicle runs at all run it down as close to empty as you can. You need to show folks to disconnect the battery, you should have a fire extinguisher nearby, you should be wearing gloves. Finally, you need to stick with the classics. I believe Wilhelm Richard Wagner-Flight of the Valkyries would have been a better choice for when the back seat lit up in flames while you ran around trying to put out the arm hair fire followed by watching your garage burn to the ground. 1st mistake using pliers not the correct tool.
2nd you didnt relieve the fuel pressure in the system so you leaked fuel all over.
3rd who am i kidding i stopped watching when i saw the pool of fuel.
