Try it but everytime you carry the puck with a d man along the board to the end zone, the other one is crashing the slot! Leaving the blue line unguarded. I've checked my settings and none of my d lines are set up to pinch. So thats a bad coding i guess.

I have the huge problem I can't leave my own third when playing. And in the rare cases I get into the opposition's third, none of my players pulls up.. Could you give me an advise for a working strategy? Been division 3 last year but can't leave 9 this year.. I'm really annoyed.

We you should make a video on how to score on a certain goalie and state things that they're weak at.
Like how Marty Turco has shit rebound control and is REALLY agressive, u know?

These are the exact same ways to score as last year. EXACT!
Use the forsberg move when coming in at an angle, works every time on breakaways just practice a bit

Bacon you said you're playing the tipin with luck from the AI but there is a way to trigger it on command. Are you saying there's a disadvantage to doing it that way? (Using the slap/pass method for the auto tip)

Hello, How about those playing styles, like playmaker, sniper, twowayforward, and on defend there is defending d man, offensive d-man and twoway d-man, how and do they effect on gameplay and team ?
I think that they changed blocking a little bit so if you press L1 or if you poke check the puck

The good thing is the most of the goals are pretty realistic so there isn't some b.s. glitch that will get abused non stop
Francesco Piliero The goalies bite too easily, most of these goals would go like under 20% of the time but in this game it's like 80%
Backhand forehand backhand cheese is a little too easy. Get that goalie moving and that's all she wrote. Especially on 1v1 situations it's a goal Everytime.

I wonder how long until the price drop happens this year? Last year it was within the first two months of release. I've bought every game they made on release since NHLPA.'92. Last year was a major slap in the face for me paying $80cdn only to see it on sale two months later for $30

Can someone tell me how to make my winger go directly to the faceoff position when my Center is tangled and trying to win the faceoff. What Strategy is it?
I find for me if i have someone with a powerful shot (ex Brent Burns or Jeff Carter), if im on the hashmarks, i just aim for the top corner of the side that I'm on and i get lots of goala that way. For example if your on the left side of the goalie, shoot top shelf on the left side

Year of the One-timer and Slapshot
Works on shootouts: When you are about to cross the hashmarks, use the backhand toe drag dangle and flip the puck, then choose back or fore and shoot, works 9/10
It's freaky because these have been my go-to ways of scoring in previous games..
The fake slapper pass-tip is still really good for scoring on the skillzone players. Just circle the corne and fake slapp pass into the tip.
Dude this is absolute money i went from struggling on superstar to banging out 3 goals a period in two minute games
This is my second NHL game after '17 and damn I'm struggling.
I think i might have found kind of a glitch in the game its probably nothing but if a couple of you could try to shoot while holding the passing button and tell if you see a difference it would be appreciated
So... the same ways as last year? These were the ways I scored in NHL 17. That overhaul clearly changed everything.

Yesterday when i was playing nhl 18 hut impoke checked the opponent right in front of the net and the puckwent straight down the ice and hit the empty net post :(

I'll tell u that the deke where u right stick click and pull back leaves a pretty cheese goal, instead of shooting tap R1 (PS controllers) and he'll do a light flick over the shoulder. Come in fast and get in pretty close. Scores a decent amount of time and would frustrate the other team to see such cheese

Hey BaconCountry! The problem i'm having with this is to find the pass to the guy that's going to take the one timer. I feel like the defenders is just taking out the passing line. Any tips?

BiHydra the packs were made better this year if u didnt know it now u do i have opened like 20packs and i have gotten 90 plusses like in everypack its stupid
An Ovi slapper has gone in 4/5 times I've tried it
I wash struggling to score in games and it was costing me. I watched the first 4 minutes of this and got out of my division with a win.

I like NHL, got a good team this year, but I don't like it this year, I got stammer Kane TOEWS kucherov and way more, but I find the gameplay is slow and I am not liking that?

Brady Ward yes!! That's my problem! I really don't like how slow the gameplay is it makes the game less fun for me in my opinion, I was a pretty decent player last year and had a pretty good record but now I can barely even score one goal I suck at NHL 18 compared to 17
Good luck trying to score on superstar doing the challenges, nearly impossible, for the player that is. Computer scores no problem.
