In recent news, Mark Wahlberg has put his prized Beverly Park mega-mansion on the market - asking for a whopping $87.5 million. He had the home custom-built in the ultra-exclusive neighborhood for him and his family back in 2014 and it boasts a laundry list of upscale amenities including a grotto-style pool with waterfalls, and a glass-walled gym, a skate park, and much more - all over 6 sprawling acres of land. If Marky Mark gets even close to the asking price it will be the priciest home ever sold in the neighborhood.

Kids grow up and Mom and Dad admit that 30,000 sf is too much for them. That and the opportunity to make millions on their investments. I think the creative spirit runs strong and the process of designing and building pleases them. They make their dreams come true. Enjoy it and then sell at a profit while building the nw dream.

When Wahlberg built this house his stated net worth was $80 million. Now who on their right mind would sink that much money into a house? Obviously the cost of maintaining that colossus was prohibitive especially since no one when to the movies for 3 years. Do you realize how many homeless could be helped with that money?

This is not a criticism but an observation, I am still trying to figure why there are more bathrooms than bedrooms in alot of Americans homes, what is concept behind that?
So you don't need to go up the stairs once you leave the bedroom. Powder rooms are everywhere in these large homes. Also they count the staff's loos!

this goes beyond my perception. Why are movie stars buying those immense estates? A tenth of the surface in the same french chateau style would perfectly do. I only know 2 big chateaus in Europe, that of Ludwig the 5th and that of Louis the 14th. These guys were total nuts. Crazy like hell. Then also you have that Disney element in it. That pool borders the 'house'. I have never seen that. A pond yes or a moat yes. For me that is more like a hotel resort. Like very much the costly roofs and the angles architects respected. Typical french roofs high end so to say. Normally in such buildings you won't have agoras, archers and much rounded windows. Square is the word. So very mixed emotions. I guess he wants big and she wants style. Normally that is the opposite.
Don't care about the house... Love the pool area...even if I had tons of money, would never have a house like that... But doesn't he have like 6 kids🤔 if he works , which he does,even though it's being a actor... It's still a job. And he's Not the only one who has a big house, pretty much tons of people, not just actors, have big house's. 😣

it costs way more to have a full staff for a home like that..maybe close to $500k-1 mil for full staff for that home. it's like hotel...Plus property tax is basically close to 1 mil too
I know Mark W has some money, but I don't see how his net worth can be over $100 million. But he is buying and selling homes for $90 million? Just the property taxes on that would be close to a million dollars a year. But, I guess he probably made a substantial amount from the sale of the first property he bought for 8 million, developed and sold for 87 million.
