- In this episode we will check internals of Engwe Y10. Outside eScooter might look really nice but internal components like battery, controller how theyre fitted and connectors can reveal really badly made eScooters.

Good video, thanks. Too bad about the lack of tubeless tyres, such a pain to change inner tubes on a scooter.
Great scooter and very good video ⚡️
I just got it a few days ago. Is there an external battery for it? Even if we can add just 30%?
Hi did u get the chance to test it longer since winter is almost gone ?😊
Unfortunately it was with me for just a day for regular maintenance. Sadly I dont own all eScooters that I make videos about.
Is it possible to add a second battery? I know you said it’s possible to exchange to a bigger one but what about a second battery placed up along the vertical frame for example?
Im not a fan of external batteries because of a westher environment and vibrations, so I never recommend that. Everything can be done, of course. Same size externsl battery in paralel shoul work preety fine but of course quality and fite risk should also be considered.
@@escootIreland really appreciate that response. Just one more thing. Is it possible to set up cruise control on this scooter? Would this be a setting change in the controller? Or if I change the throttle would that work? I have this scooter and my trip is long so having this would be great!
@meanfitness1689 i dont remember if it has cruise control, but I'll try and make a video of how I hold throttle when Im doing long-range trips.
@@escootIrelandit doesn’t allow it as standard anyway. Iv tried the computer settings and the throttle.
How big a battery could it take do you think? Or where to get one? At 13ah it’s a little small for my trips.
@meanfitness1689 i would go for the same capacity, but I'd be looking at a reputable brand. Sadly, it won't be cheap. It would probably be better to get a different eScooter with a bigger battery.
How do you replace the charging port. You talk about on min 16 but I dont get it please.
No replacement was done on it. I just checked internals and shared my opinnion of eScooter. Charging port could be better to be honest.
@@escootIreland mine is broken after a few days from purchase! Which screwdriver size do you use to open the deck? Philips 000? Hex 2.5?
@@fiudad use 2.5 hex but I would rather return it to seller.
@@escootIreland than you!
Does this scooter really go 65 kilometers? with speed is 25 and the weight of the driver is 85
Range on eScooters depends on many things and usually range is tested on lower speed in perfect conditions. Usually eScooter would do roughly half of claimed range at max speed.
Testing is usually done with 70kg weight with no hills, acceleration, no wind or hills. More weight, hills, acceleration, more weight, winds and higher speeds can decrease range dramatically. As soon as weather gets better I will do some range tests.
I have it. I can go for 30 kms at S speed. My wheight is 75 kgs.
