Thanks Hannah that's really useful. I've got a hydro fogger which cost a small fortune, but since I split my greenhouse into warm and cool sides, I've been looking for another humidifier for the cooler end that doesn't cost the earth. I also like the fact it has it's own humidistat built it.

I don’t use essential oils in my humidifier but I do have a diffuser, which I rarely use these days. I have done a lot of research on which essential oils you can use around birds… There are not many and they have to be pure.

Thank you for this video. I have actually had my eye on this humidifier, but it looks like it may be difficult to clean. I would appreciate a video on cleaning and disinfecting the humidifier as mold can make you not feel well.

I have the Elechomes ultrasonic warm and cool mist top fill humidifier which is the exact same thing (same settings too) except you can just pop open the top lid and refill your water tank without having to take it out. I was going to get the Levoit humidifier until I discovered this extra feature which just makes it so much easier to refill since I have mine in sort of a hard to get to spot. I don't think my humidifier indicates when the water is low only when it is completely out, so that is something the Levoit has on mine. Both are really great humidifiers though tbh!

@@TropicalPlantAddict Oh you can take it apart easily you just don't need to in order to refill it. It comes with clear instructions on how to take it apart and reassemble it :)
Hi Hannah.. nice vid and review! I'm just wondering if it makes any noise? It doesn't seem to in your vid. I need one for a studio setting, so noise is a no no 😅 Best wishes from across the water.
how often do you use this for the plants? and what time of the day? how many hours?
Hi i just got the same one today i set it at 55 % it flashed as it should but now on screen its saying 75% then flashes to 55% does that mean the room is already higher in humidity ? Thankyou

How do I turn off the beeping that's there whenever I press any buttons?
I had considered purchasing this humidifier but ended up going with the Bayka Cool Mist. I works great, but I can't get with the program on buying distilled water every week. I am going to try and do better. Maybe my calatheas would look more like yours if I did. Thanks for the review, I love that it has the option for warm mist.
Maria just get a filter jug then you won’t need to buy bottled water 😊 I use my filter jug for my drinking water, my birds water, the plants and my humidifiers 💧🌿 My PureAire water jug was only about £25 from Amazon. I added it to my recommended products in my Amazon shop 💚
I had been using filtered tap water (with a Brita jug) in mine for a while but I was still getting build up and my calatheas were still not looking great so I think distilled is a must :( If there are certain elements and chemicals in the water used in the humidifier, it's essentially releasing them into the air.

@@stephaniem6283 I use rainwater on my Calatheas, they like the water, just dont have enough humidity in my house, Its like 30% in the winter which makes them really hate me.
I wanted to know cold humidifier good for plants?
I use an essential oils diffuser to discourage pests, it does no harm to the plants as far as I am aware. My plants are fine.
What kind of oils did you use?

Veronique Beekhuizen no I haven’t had any issues with wet flooring. I think if you are getting wet floors you may be running it too long each time or it’s too close to the floor. You are meant to keep it up off the floor and a certain distance away from walls etc 💚💧

@@TropicalPlantAddict yay, that would be amazing! I love mine, I find it works better misting my apartment. I also have another one from Ströme, but Levoit by far outperforms for my fussy calatheas😍🌿❤ and I love the timer option and the remote! 🤗

I’ve got one and love it, the only thing I don’t like about it is I wish you could refill the water from the top. Otherwise I love it.
