I see that the amazing Tigress is really becoming a Jamaican after all. Its funny that you call our red apple Ethiopia apple..lol. Its called O'tahiti apple, some say EtihOti, but its a tribute, alluding to the Island of Tahiti where the apple comes from. But who knows 'Ethiopia apple' might just catch on...lol. after all its red, from the red , gold and green of Ethiopia!

Why would you call it something other than its proper name? It’s called Jamaican ‘Otaheite’ Apple. Like the breadfruit, it was brought from Tahiti in 1793 by Captain Bligh, and has different names in other parts of the Caribbean and parts of South East Asia where it originated. It has nothing to do with Ethiopia.

African Tigress, thanks for the video. The Ethiopian apple is called pomerac in T&T. When you visit Trinidad, try the Julie mangoes there. They are different from the Jamaican ones. I find they are the most delicate, lovely tasting mangoes in the mango family. I had them in both countries and they taste different. I hope that everyone makes use of those lovely vegetables. It is nice to see that you are having fun with the vendors. You got a lot of things for $20 US. The bananas are cheaper in Toronto. Jamaica seems to have copied their markets from Africa. I guess that shows where their ancestors came from.
