- In this video, I present a bodyweight pull-up workout to grow big biceps and back muscles.
The calisthenics pull-up workout consists of regular pull-ups and chinups as a warm-up and then pull-ups with a towel and uneven pull-ups.
I added one of the most difficult bodyweight pull-ups because they generate a lot of tension in the muscles and activate the largest muscle fibers associated with strength and mass growth.
Then, I did a dozen sets of various types of lighter pull-ups, different grips, with the goal to accrue more total work volume. By adding more exercises to the end, it’s a great method to train all the muscles and fatigue them to failure. When you do volume training you also activate the endurance muscle fibers.
This routine is based on progressive bodyweight exercises, a great combination of volume and progressive overload.
A total volume of over 140 pull-ups and 50 minutes required to finish it. Great workout to burn your arms and upper-body muscles.

@@Lucas-vz4hk I made one for shoulder and one for the chest. Seek them in the playlist 😊 i will record more
Great routine, when doing normal pull-ups how do you recommend to put your legs! Cross them behind? Or leave them straight in front of you?
It matters the upper body form. Keeping them crossed, just eliminates cheating
Great video ! Creative excercices while still basic. How much rest do you take in between your sets tho ?
Thank but you didn't watch the whole video. I discuss everything about rest time there.
Old School Calisthenic yes I wrote this while watching the video. Now I have man answers aha.
So you don’t recommend this training with high intensity method right ?
@@erradate6425 no because you go in the glycolysis pathway and you want to focus on hypertrophy, not conditioning.
hey brother what kind of gloves do you use for calisthenics?
Definitely not COVID-19 gloves 🤣. They are construction, gardening gloves. You find them for a buck on any construction depot or mall. The best ones are those for glass.
@@OldSchoolCalisthenics alright thanks bro ill try to hit 480 pullups tomorrow using that pyramid sets and reps wish me luck 18 year old from the philippines much love man!
Once a week?
Yes
1 min rest time per set?
60-90 seconds
@@OldSchoolCalisthenics thank you ! your physique is my ideal body.

I have a program for you bro on my site that will help you
Is it really 50 minutes? Im trying to go slowly, but I always end in 35 minutes.
the video or the whole workout?
@@OldSchoolCalisthenics the workout itself. Maybe im not resting enough. I'm in similar condition as you are, so I must be doing something different ? Either way it's a solid workout.
@@joelroblin4665 doesn't matter how long it takes you as long as you have the time and you enjoy it, plus, if it's also effective.
