- It can be frustrating trying to find a difficulty level that balances realism and fun in NBA 2K24. Anything from Superstar down seems too easy, but Hall of Fame is just too unrealistic and unfair. This video will give you the most realistic slider settings to use if you want to have fun playing 2K while also being challenged as you would in a game of real Basketball.

I will try it for my myleague hall of fame is ridiculous cant even make basic layups with someone behind me on fast breaks.
Should prolly turn on the shot meter on layups... Ive found that turning shot meter for layups off makes me miss a lot... and when it's on you can green release and force make these shots basically
Yeah they made it harder, but I like it, I had to make it way harder on 22 and 23.
You gotta do the correct layup fam. Almost every drive is capable of becoming points if you do the correct layup.
Same here I play this game on ps5 and xbox series x and I miss a lot of wide open shots and layups

It's either unrealistically easy or too hard. Difficult to find that middle point. Going to give this a try and tweak it to what I like. Thanks for the video!!

@@STECHGUY Great to hear. An issue I’ve had with the next gen 2K games is the defense is so sticky haha like you can’t create any separation it’s why I still play 2K18 cause I can actually score
So I was wondering these sliders help create separation and that the defense isn’t as sticky

Shot timing at 0 makes it real fg percentage. At 100 it’s all up to you. At 50 it’s in between real and user
Facts. I do a player lock league either my own sliders bc I’m too good at the game. Putting shot timing at 0 really made completely change my play style

Is it just me or I swear that all of shots are like above 80% contested or it will have a crazy contest for something so subtle
I’ll have a dude give me 80% contest and he’s not even near but I can SMOTHER a dude and it’s like “open” like no fucking way
4:19 I listened all the way up to this point. You said the game is already pretty realistic. As a person that watches basketball, this game is nowhere near realistic. Rudy Gobert on switches guard point guards on 2k….. they literally lost an entire playoff series on the jazz because he could not guard switches. In this game there’s no such thing as drop coverage which is “realistic” in EVERY NBA game. Also every single player is a first team all defensive player. I religiously watch wizards games and see Jordan Poole get beat back door. But on 2K will not happen. But good video.
This!!! Every time I played a key game my defender was always elite!!!!! They hardly ever bit on anything, if your in front of them the game WILL PURPOSELY slow you down and now any center can catch you, these are the same problems that was in 2k16 bruh
@@J_justGaming pump fakes are basically not even real in the game. Very rarely will someone jump on pump fake playing the cpu.
@@sportgod4573To say about the pump fakes though I get the CPU jumping with pump fakes occasionally but not too much they hardly bite it all about timing and precision on what the alternative that comes with that after
In real life, they’re scoring 100-150 points per game now. If your games end with you scoring like 89 points then your settings are no good.
Well that’s if you play 12 minute quarters. Good sliders will take in account of time

Yeah, I’ve been trying to fix that. I was wondering I’m literally getting 60 to 70 point games when I simulate them I’m trying to fix it. I don’t know how to fix that.

Shot timing impact should be around 30 and ball security should be about 70. Games boring if you don't make a mistake lmao

I like using 65. Seems maddening at first, but you get used to it and it feels more real when it comes to on-court decision-making.

Hello. I want to give some advice to people who play this game. And I don’t want anyone to get offended by what I’m gonna say because lately there’s been some…….”sensitive people” on this platform. 😂 figure that out. And no disrespect to the author of this post, I’m simply going to piggyback what he’s saying. Here it is. You can play on any level. The problem with this game (it’s a very good game just hear me….) is that the sliders and online play conflicts with you everyday. You play the cpu to prove to yourself somehow to generate some sort of connection with Online play. Because these developers have no ideaaaaaa on what certain things that they actually have to put in the sliders and ratings that goes on in a real professional game. You want realistic and that’s fine but you have to realize that they give you a base and they let you build your own game to your liking. Now again if you watch real basketball you knoooooooow that certain ish that goes on against you would not happen in a real life game. Bruh…they have the cpu fouling you left and right in that game and holding on to you in defense to the point where you are down by 30 for no reason 😂. Driving to the basket and you falling into the stands is unaaaaaaaaacceptable seriously. I urge you to leave all sliders at its normal state. And to turn up if anything all the foul sliders because they put too much body on you when you are driving into the paint or anything else in the paint. Trust me if you replay most of the plays you will see that the cpu is fouling you. Turn that shooting foul frequency waaaaaay up to 80 or more, over the back fouls up to like 62, reach in fouls up, definitely definitely turn up blocking fouls. And you will see a better difference in this game. Call plays and see what happens. You gotta stop hindering your game to confide to playing online your destroying yourself lol. Turn the fouls up it’s waaaaay more realistic. These developers do this all the time with all sports games. Especially Madden. In madden they have you throwing the ball to superstar receivers with mediocre ratings like release (that is how they get off the line of scrimmage and if you play football you know exactly how to run a pass route. ) The release ratings in that game is an utter joke!!😂. I’m just trying to help with mental health please don’t get offended.
