Who really wants to see another movie that follows the trope of stuff being shown at the beginning being coincidentally useful later on in the movie. That one dumb gadget that the protagonist laughs at and says they'll never need this but drops it in their pack anyways somehow ends up being really useful. Who wants to see that?
