Quick note, UAC (or TM spec) disconnector and striker parts do work in the AW pistols, which will eliminate most of, if not all of the run away issues people seem to be having

If it goes full auto on you it means your leaf spring got bent. It's pretty simple to fix it by just bending it back, though I would recommend you watch a tutorial on it first since if you bend it the wrong way it could mess up your gun even more.

Maverick1 airsoft Agreed, not defending armorworks, I’d get a TM over them any day. Just putting it out there so if anyone has that issue they can fix it.
tm is to pricey, aw custom is full metal competition ready out the box
not sure what you guys are talking about in regards to grips and slides, knuckles said in his video series he was able to get the grips to fit (stated some may meed a bit sanding, some not) and slides work, hell he swapped the bronze split slide with the stock tm 5.1 on video and they seem to fit fine
I had the same grip and It didn’t work. I tried writing a review but evike don’t work like that. They said it worked on their TMs so thank you for putting this out.
Wow... I just watched a video and ole boy literally took an a.w and a t.m and swapped the slides with zero issues . You can use tm standard nozzles if you replace the b.b housing . The triggers interchanged the barrels , hop ups , the only thing that was really different was the bb housing, nozzle, hop up .
I got a deal with a aw custom hx25 and I want to build it up. What slide fit your aw custom? Also I wanted to put a Maple leaf hop up on it also.

That's so weird. I bought that exact grip for my gold match and it fit and worked perfect.
Been using a AW hicapa for almost a year now without any problems, I clean and relube after every game and its been fine. Its my secondary to my Shotgun so only has half a dozen mags through it in a game so I would estimate around 200 mags so far.
I brought a we wet g17 Black and gold custom for my girlfriend over a year ago that she uses as a primary and that thing keeps going well. been used so much all the plating has rubbed off of the top of the barrel where the slide rubs.
Had to reseal the mags a lot of times but otherwise very little maintenance done.
Almost everyone I skirmish with here in England uses WE and apart from the degassing issue when your mag is almost out of gas and the glock 18 models occasional full auto random moments I don't know of any major problems.
Tokyo Marui is not as popular as they are very expensive here and a lot of people don't like the plastic construction or low fps, WE seem to all shoot close to the UK limit of 350fps on green has straight out of the box.
I do have a TM gold match hi capa and was impressed with the build quality of the externals but Its a project gun as I want to try and increase the fps to something more usable outside.
johnfarscape The tm hi capa is definitely a more reliable a customizable gun. Check out KnucklesGM on youtube,his builds are pretty badass
Brian Huynh Yeah build quality was better on the marui and the hop is a lot better so I would reccomend Marui if you are planning on building a high performance pistol. The WE is a good cheap straight out of the box gun. Hard to compare the two as my AW WE was £70 and my marui was almost £300.
Brian Huynh Might be an English thing as we have loads of WE AW distributors here which keeps the price down . Parts are easily available. Sounds like Evike has a bit of a monopoly on AW in the US.
In my opinion,I'd drop the extra money to get a tm hi capa or at least buy a used one that's alreadu upgraded and customized,which is what I did. I was looking at the KJW KP-05,but I decided to pay a little extra for a used tm hi capa with a good amount of custom parts I would've done to it

Hey Andre, I put my Armorer Works Custom Hi capa grip that came on the first gen hi capas (HX1102) and it fits fine. It may be just the one you bought Idk lol but mine fits fine on my TM 4.3 then I threw an airsoft masterpiece black magwell on there and it's sexyyyyy.
Do you think the masterpiece slides will fit a hx25 5.1?
@@WitchDoctor87 most likely yes, may have to sand the frame but 9/10 they’ll slide on and run fine. I’ve used many masterpiece slides while I played airsoft, everytime they ran really good with little modification. Haven’t touched airsoft in a few years tho so I’m not sure what’s compatible with what anymore but there’s a really good chance it’ll fit a AW frame.

What about the VX series (glock style AW pistols)? Is there a review of those?
So basically if you want a pistol that works and works well, get a ArmorerWorks. If you want a pistol to buy for the same price that you need to put a few hundred dollars into to make it nice, buy a TM. I think I will go AW for now.
Tyler Mohning they mentioned a lot of issues on the video with AW. Even the comments here are full of reliability but problems. Bought a WE before, never going back.
@Mohamed Ekolu tm is way better than anything we/aw puts out. It works just fine with a plastic slide, and will run longer and better than an aw
The tm plastic slide fits on perfectly the only thing you have to do is lubricate it and it should work fine

Welp looks like I have to buy a tm hi capa now 😂 I just ordered the airsoft masterpiece "hive" slide hoping it would fit the frame of my wind velocity... speaking of which the wind velocity slide for me at least is loose on the frame which is why I bought the new one idk if it's because I modded the valve in the magazine or what but now the compensator or whatever isn't gaped right with the original slide and the slide is loose on the frame so I guess hi output valves are a no go?

The full auto issue is not with user error or maintenance it's from the hammer spring in the back of the grip there's videos here about how to fix the issue
Tms run fine on green gas.....mine has 2000+ rounds through it and the slide did crack but it still works. The metal spring guide rode and plug on the other hand just recently failed....yes the plastic slide is lasting longer then the metal parts.
Also the grips can work on tms. One of my friends put one on a 4.3 no problem, granted this is probably not something you should expect like you said in the video.
Any idea if the JAG or EMG taran tactical grips fit on the TM frames?
Oh and btw everyone who has one, if you take a lighter and melt the orange tip off (its quick) you can find threads for mounting whatever the fuck you want, I am plannng on getting a tracer for mine.
Hi, I'm trying to find information on magazine compatibility. I bought a AW competitor. I want to purchase a hi cap mag but since I don't have the gun in front of me yet I would appreciate the help. Does the Mag well need magazines with indented grooves in them? Can I put a smooth surface magazine into the AW competitor?
I have a aw hi capa and I actually like it a lot. One down side is I tried to remove the orange tip and tried to melt it out of the outer barrel but it didn't budge. Overall though I love my aw
the barrel is threaded so heat it up to weaken the glue then get pliers and twist it off
So if I wanted to install a NPAS that’s made for WE tech pistols in an AW Custom hi-capa, would it work? I need to bring the FPS down to play at an indoor field near my house.
So If I have a WE hi capa , I can fit an AW slide on it , and I cannot use any sort of TM parts ( at least nt without mods and hassles ) , right ?

My full aw upper assembly fit right on my tm frame and worked fine
I put a aw grip on a w.e. and fit just fine with out a problem. And it looks damn sexy and feels great
I know the ra tech mag catch and release fits in but needs shaving to fit aw and we mags.
I bought the black ace Semi/full auto version and it was great but I'm into building guns and making things my own is there any good upgrades for tm that I can use? Thanks
my friend got himself an armor works pistol and on the first week it went full auto on him, and his outer barrel split in half, idk what he did but I guess the quality wasn't as great
Been running mine for months and i clean it religiously. Never failed never broke.
I have had really bad luck with my AW as it was my second or third game and it's started to burst fire I've only had it for about 2 months and for me it was a lot of money as I'm young but the gun just causes problem after problem

All I want to know is can you get a threaded barrel for the AW HX2002 so you can fit a tracer unit or is this something I can say goodbye to.

@@theroofnation4112 I have heard that WE parts will fit this specific gun but don't want to purchase a £40 barrel and it not fit however my friend owns a WE so i intend to try his threaded barrel. The only issue with the HX2002 is you will have a space in the slide where the original barrel went also meaning you will lose your front holo
think the best would be to ask to armorer works to do the hybrid barrel with thread
(i want to keep fiber optic sight in front) but didnt find anywhere the barrel
can alway order the hx2002 outer barrel default and try to make thread in

An entire upper will work on a TM and AW
Mix and match tested facts . The only parts that will not swap are the loading nozzles and bbu units . Just to set the record straight. All parts are interchangeable between TM WE AW minus loading nozzles and bbu unit AW is ng3 type

I am looking for a good pistol for my secondary around $150 or lower. Will the AW Hi Capas be good or should I look for guns that aren't hi capas or maybe try another brand? I don't want to have to upgrade my secondary. It doesn't metter to me co2 vs green gas
Vladonizer for secondary it all depends on personal use, my loadout I run a riot shield, depending on the field I will use different pistols I live in Arizona so most fields are indoor cqb, for cqb I recommend the H&K usp compact. The gun itself is very nice and I haven't had any problems with it (as long as you oil it after each play session) the usp compact is small enough to fit in an M4 and some pistol mag pouches so it's very small very maneuverable. Most secondary's you won't be shooting long range so you shouldn't have a problem there if you want something for mid-long range let me know I have a ton of pistols 😄

if ur thinking of buying AW mags, dont they leak really bad even if u use silicon oil.
Just got the HX2201 bout a month ago and the mag that came with it shoots gas out of the fill valve as soon as I go to fill it. And it's blown the tiny o ring around the fill valve off again. Have taken it apart and oiled the seals and even put teflon on the threads. Worked really well for a fill or two and then did it again. I'm getting co2 mags next.
I have a we hi capa (basicly the Same as aw) and one of my mags doesn't hold gas very well. I've put it in water and stuff to check for leaks, but it's not leaking and I can only get about 6 shots out at most. Is it my O ring on my mag or can someone tell me what's wrong if you know? Thanks if you do.
buy a can of silicone oil, like this www.evike.com/products/24183/ , and spray it on the inside of the slide, the fill valve, the flow valve, and the gas release gasket of the mag, if not properly lubed, the valve can stick open due to cooldown and let all the gas out of the mag, that is the psssssshhhhhh you got on the last shot. Repeat this process until you see results, also, clean the gun before each relubing!
I think the problem you are having is a build up of air in your magazine. You can fix this by holding the valve down to open it and charge your magazine with green gas/propane.This should push any excess air out of your magazine thus giving you more room for gas.Pls let me know if this works for you
I have 2 armorer works guns hx solid frame and hx split frame the full auto issue for me happend with the split frame version. Stay true, if you're a pistol person get TM
I find it very difficult to find information on the HX2401 Wind velocity... It preforms great out of the box but I just want to customize the shit out of it.... Does anyone have a list of compatible parts such as hopup's, bucking's, different things like that? Im afraid of spending money then not having the parts work...

If you want to take it to a field, you might need to go hpa with it, depending on regulation, i have the hx2401 and they say it shoots 350 but mine was shooting 395-410, i haven’t found a hpa valve that says it’s comparable with aw custom tho...
My black ace started to shoot full auto but I believe it was because I was using propane, I tried using green gas and it stopped shooting full auto.

Guys, how to lubricate HPA tapped hi capas?
gapancha Recommend using murder oil (heavy) the purple one to lube it up. Just put a couple of drops onto where there are moving parts and you should be set. You might want to use silicone oil/spray and put a little into your mags as well

I got my AW Custom 2 months ago, only issue i have seen is that the hopup screws get loose after 2 hours of play. No big deal, you just have to take a screw driver and tighten them.
Dj Snaze Does a lose hop up make the bbs go to the left or right?
it makes the hop up wheel get un adjusted but since you bring that up, I recomend you go .28 bbs or atleast .25 bbs because with .25s outdoors, they are the most accurate and work best with hopup. I tried the .20 gramm bbs and they were not accurate and made bbs go to right
Nice vid. I got a Classic army ak and its motor died after a few uses. I was wondering if I could use a g&g motor in it for the better reliability so it doesn't break down, would that work?
