Flying on Transavia? Watch this! AMS to TFS (Tenerife)

- Booking a low cost flight within Europe can be confusing for American or even European travelers. For our flight from Amsterdam to Tenerife, we wanted to try anything but RyanAir and Easy Jet. That’s when we discovered Transavia.

Transavia is an airline founded in 1965 and owned by KLM since 1991

Thank you @Everything Flight. It was by chance we got on Transavia since we booked a flight thru KLM. We loved it. Canary Islands was great and now we are in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 on Anthem of the Seas. Like you guys, we LOVE traveling
Transavia is almost always a little late, food is expensive on board, but their staff always makes up to it. I've never experienced non-great staff on board.
Nice video, thanks, brings back a lot of memories! Minor remark: the mountain that you highlighted is not Mount Teide (that is further away, in the center of the island). And Mount Teide is not considered an active volcano.

Holy smokes! I’ve never seen a plane with green seats! But I love how it couples with the brand colors , and taking that risk with the inside as well. I’ve never heard of Transavia before but I just downloaded the app to my already beefy travel folder on my phone. I love this because there’s always something new to learn about travel. I hope you guys have a great trip!! Hopefully the whole family is doing well and I’m going to have to try them out and add them to a big trip I want to do next fall! Transavia is a daughter of KLM.
The seats are terrible. Every time someone puts an item in the back of the seat u can feel it on your back.

Did your hand luggage meet the maximum requirements? Or is it ok for it to be a little over it?
It did meet the maximum requirement but we also noticed that they didn’t check the size or weight at any gate. Based on our experience it could be ok to be a little over
Do they weight both bags (personal item and wheel bag) together to check if it is under 10 kilos?
According to website yes but in our experience none of the bags were weighed by Transavia. Find the latest from their site www.transavia.com/help/en-eu/luggage

Hi, thank you for your question. In our experience from Amsterdam to Tenerife and Tenerife back to Amsterdam, we really liked the airline. The flight was on time, comfortable, crew was decent, plane was fairly clean. We also heard about bad reviews but that was not our experience. Frankly, we just took a flight on TAP Portugal last week (LIS to JFK) and although we love TAP, we sat on tarmac for 3 hours before we could move due to airplanes comm issue. there is a Transavia France and the normal Transavia, that flies from the Netherlands. The france one has more worse reviews then the dutch one. I fly a lot with the dutch Transavia, i really like them. Cheap and safe; 0 crashes in their history fleet. Hope this helpes.

Expérience décevante avec Transavia lors de deux vols fin 2023. Ai demandé un simple verre d'eau à l'aller et au retour, refusé car payant à 3 euros la petite bouteille. Absurde ! Je vais boycotter cette compagnie et encourage chacun à faire de même. 💧✈ #Transavia #Boycott
Sorry to hear your experience. Just curious, can you share your flight details (city name). We had booked our flight on Delta and KLM from New York to Tenerife via Amsterdam. Our flight also didn’t come with any meals or water but I purchased a sandwich and Diet Coke. Again, sad to hear about your experience, and thanks for sharing with us
