However, that is not to say that I refuse to give that person a chance and actually get to know them, nor would I ever prohibit a child in my care from associating with someone based on their name. Different cultures have different names and that is a fact of life. To pretend otherwise is simply absurd. The issue only comes in when you discriminate against people based on those names. Just assuming a particular culture based on the name is perfectly acceptable.

I cannot say that I am entirely culturally relative myself, but whether a person chooses proactively state their assertions "all the way across the student union" or passively in a CZcams forum their preference and/or predilection to such is most likely relative to where and how they were raised. I can see the benefits and problems inherent in each of those but I believe you would be hard pressed to say objectively that your way is better than another in all regards.

I'm a from a working class family and my parents named me Robert, my brother Leonard and my sister Alice. Those are all international and classic names with lovely meanings that have been in use for hundreds of years.
That's the thing. In use for hundreds of years. Those names may have had meaning back then, but now they are common, working class names. Nothing wrong with that type of name, but generalizing common names to be associated with common or lower intelligence is asinine.
