This is definitely one of the build I was more scared to try, since I decided to give up ALL my weapons and melee options to favor a total "immersion" in the caster mindset. Int/Faith builds are hard to make, but at meta level they're very strong and pretty permissive. As always, my priority is the fashion and the lore of my character, so this build is easy to make even better.
I experimented with a lot of different spell loadouts and when I found my favorite two or three, I just rolled with them. Having all your damage capabilities tied to a finite resource (mana) is scary, and for the first few invasions it was easy to run out of blue juice. But with practice and perseverance, you'll quickly learn how to not waste your damage opportunities and to not hit the "random bullshit:go!" button too often.
Anyway, I am happy to be back, now we can just sit in the Shadow of the Erdtree waiting room together as a FAMILEEEE.

After two years you'd think the Limgrave Gankers would know about The Hole by now, but I guess not.
Nah most invaders are simps who just walk in and feed the gankers. They'd rather be angry that, somehow, a 3v1 isn't a fair fight rather than either leave the obvious ganker world or kite them somewhere to get an advantage.

Pure caster builds like this are great. You get to make every host who ever killed Gideon without listening to my man's monologue feel the suffering they should have experienced.

Love the faith/int representation, been thinking of doing my first playthrough of the DLC with my faith/int Godwyn-theme boi and this reassured me of that choice :)
Also massive props for powering through the copious amount of spell scrolling that this type of build requires
That was pretty hard at the beginning, but you get adjusted to it pretty quickly if you try and try and try (failing miserably is part of process lol)

My favorite combo including the Stone is: Catch Flame > Stone (this will roll catch if they buffer a roll out of hit stun) > Carian Piercer (true combos if Stone hits). However if they mash R1 out of hitstun from the Catch Flame, the combo will be interrupted if their R1 Poise breaks you, so be careful. I have also seen Gigasthiccas do Catch Flame > Stone of Gurranq > Great Glintstone Shard > Carian Piercer. I have not tried this version of the combo out personally yet though.

It's hilarious to me how many people will try to out-DPS pure casters - like... they're literally sacrificing HP for FP so pure casters will usually deal better damage!
He has 60 vigor though, he ain't sacrificing anything
@@Sunclad You sacrifice HP when you trade red flasks for blue flasks.
Since red flasks are pretty fast, they're basically an extension to your HP unless you're dying very quickly.

god it's such a shame there is literally only one wepon that scales with int/faith in the entire game.
I am SURE the DLC will add more IntFaith weapons and/or Ashes of War
Technically there are two others. Clayman Spear has innate Int scaling, and you can infuse it to have faith scaling, and the other is Erdsteel Dagger with innate faith and can be infused to have int as well.
But yeah, really hoping the dlc adds more.

Rings are VERY good. Even the single ring incantation is pretty decent, and the Radagon Ring of Light deals a lot of damage.

Might not be much effective in a PvE environment, but it sure would be fun to play around with
Weeeeell, you deal very good damage in PvE too since you have access to every damage type, so that’s pretty cool. But yeah, having to deal with FP management in PvE it “downgrades” the build a smidge.
I just tried out this build I have done 5 invasions haven’t lost a single one such a good build and amazing video as always

oh my god those combos, they're insane. cycling spells with one casting tool is hard enough, but to be this stylish while juggling two? 👑👑👑

The first times while invading I kept messing the input for the right catalyst, I was furious

For optimization, consider the following:
Astrologer starter is more efficient by 1 or 2 levels depending if you settle for base arcane or not (18 arcane however enables the use of great oracular bubbles which is great fun if you haven't tried it already). Astrologer starter also allows for the use of noble slender sword or rapier as a sidearm for no additional stat investment, if that tickles your fancy.
The +5 stat boosting Talismans are almost never worth it at meta levels. By simply exchanging them for Crimson +2 and Favor +2 and reduce vigor to 50 and increase faith and int by 5 each, you end up with +13 hp and +9 stamina and functionally the same equip load %.
Thank you! Yeah I am familiar with the Bubbles because this is actually a sequel to my Int-Arc build video, that’s why the fashion choices and so on.
For this build I decided to completely abandon all the melee options, to force myself to rely only on FP without using Starlight Shards also.
Absolutely love this build, all-casters are really fun to play.
For real, because you don’t just sit there and spam from a distance, you’re basically a melee build for how close you need to get to your opponents. But, if you want, you have also access to very powerful ranged options.

Love your videos! I've been trying dragonclaw or storm stomp into rejection into greyoll's roar or dragonmaw. I'll have to add wrath of gold to my build too!
Dragonmaw is actually a very good wake up attack! After a riposte or a knockdown like from Wrath of Gold is just that effective. Also the damage is nuts.

My thought exactly. Elden Ring spells are simply the best and most fun to use, but they surely took a lot from DS2 wacky spells and from its variety.

It was VERY hard and off putting at the beginning, I had to force myself to play in a completely different way. I kept messing my inputs lol
I can’t imagine the pain this man went through to gain this spell mastery
The first 10/15 invasion were rough, not gonna lie. Having all your damage completely tied up to a finite resource that you can’t replenish is damn stressing. But you learn quickly to make every hit counts, otherwise you’ll suffer through every single invasion lol

Thanks! Well, I did some testing and I tried out different combinations for the spell loadout. Once you have it nailed down, the build feels natural and flows perfectly from one spell to another.

I have the same setup in an int/faith build but your spell combos are way more fire
Play around with the spell loadout to find cool synergies between spells and follow up to some true combos 😉
Rly hope that the dlc comes with some form of pvp rewards(armor, weapons etc).

I dunno how I missed this upload, but god damn! You did it again @AZAEL - what a banger. Love your videos and your builds looks insanely fun. Every time I try to build a caster, I end up falling back to my melee options, which obviously aren't as strong because I'm built for casting. Maybe I need to try a pure caster with no melee crutches to fall back on. It's just such a different playstyle, but you make it look fun as hell!
It’s as fun as it is painful to learn if you, like me, are more accustomed to play melee. I had to force myself to not have a single weapon in my inventory to actually learn how to use a pure caster build. It was worth it.
