Are you a fan of Operation Recall?

Definitely interested in the Omnibus, but not sure how I feel about the figures still waiting for final product shots. I kind of wish they went more modern what lines like JoyToy and Acid Rain are doing rather than classic style. I may be in the minority though.

Yes 👍 I absolutely love what they are doing over at Operation Recall. I can’t wait to see them in person and love seeing the process as legendary creators come back and make magic again.

Not a fan. First, I can’t stand that the packaging and file card art is a direct ripoff of GI Joe. These are two different and distinct toy lines. The overlap may confuse consumers. Second, nearly every character comes with a pet. A leopard, a pigeon, a turtle, several K9s
it reminds me of the Robot Chicken sketch on the GI Joe Zoo. Finally, what’s with the strong Latino vibe of the line? General Mortifero? Los Castigadores? What country is this for?

Touting new IP and yet it's...just Joe rehash. Cool, but not for me.

Carson is the man, his book is fantastic. Its the heaviest book I own so you know its good. The Operation Recall line IS NOT A FUKN KNOCK OFF the people behind it are THE GOD FATHERS OF G I JOE! its more Joe then Emily and Lenny IMHO..

I remember talking with Carson more than a decade ago when he was working the big posters with all the figures and working on the books. I'd love to support his project, but at this point with Super7 doing the o-rings and delta 17 amongst others, I'd have to cherry pick unfortunately. Hopefully there's enough dough to go around if you know what I mean.

Man, somehow I missed the GI Joe craze growing up. I owned quite a few, but just never got into the line.
I remember swap meet bins filled with loose Joe's for 10Âą a piece.

Have you seen delta 17 figures? Those look like they were inspired by gi joe as well.

I don t know, the card art looks to be the best part of this line.
there s no story, it s not military, just colourful.
eagle force has a system structure to swap parts
2x head x pack as both the leader and troops
I d rather go that way myself
there has to be some evolution over what we had, it s more expensive
I paid $2.50 Can up to $4 in the 80s for that
now it s $8? as it s not any better, so it s cheap then?
3' s strength was vehicles, and now we ll have none?
how much will be those if any?
    I d have 4 factions, each having ;
    a transport [supplies - troops]
    jeeps
    bikes
    tank
    helico
    small fast boat
just 6 vehicles, same except colours and logos
    so now you know...
    good show bro

Cool video. I'm not a 3 3/4 collector, much less a toy maker. Making new figures using the processes of the 80's with resin 2 ups, hand drawn color studies etc instead the digital options seems expensive and time consuming. A comic book and 10 min animation short would be a better investment for a new IP imo. I hope it works out for them, it seems like an interesting venture.

The book is awesome the knock off brand isn’t so great. But good on dude for following his dreams. Have to respect that ❀

It's a long tefm recruitment tactic...kids play with GI Joe...they grow up quick, at least a percentage will want to soldier.

He criticizes Super7 for using pre-existing IPs for new lines but does a complete knock off of GI Joe. It’s funny how people think and try to sell you on their stuff.
