The German text in the cockpit translates to "Caution! Hood release through explosive charge" and the small text clarifies "Do not touch release lever. To test the release, check status of firing pin".
Just got back into War Thunder a little over a week ago and I'm using my old Gaijin account that has up to rank 4 unlocked for both German ground and air. I love the 109s because of their agility; but there's just something about the 190s that make them not only my go-to for racking up kills; but also my favourite War Thunder planes. Last night I was acing things up in ARB alternating between the A-8 and F-8 with a 109 G-6 as backup and had the most fun in the game since I got back.
If you hold E,A and D you can do a nice spin in any short-winged FW190 :D

Not too mention the 190’s refusal to overheat or run hot unless you push it way too hard for way too long.
Really wish they’d update the visual models of the 190s. They look so old right now.

The first and by far the worst because it lacks good armament with a solid amount of ammunition. And this is speaking from a perspective of someone whose favourite plane ever is FW-190. At least speaking from AAB perspective.
For me it was always the best because it got the best performance relative to the planes it fights.
I always take a plane with good flight performance over one with good armament.
@@kimjanek646 Its flight performance really isn't noticeably better than other FWs. It has lower br but that doesn't affect its gameplay much in AAB, while its poor firepower does really affect it, negatively of course. One of FW's main appeals is the firepower and A-1 lacks it, unlike any other FW.
Another case of two gamemodes putting different amount of importance on a vehicle's aspects.

in one of my matches, i had an enemy bomber want me to spare him as i was in this thing with 3 kills and had ammo to spare. i did so but then an ally 190 a-1 came in and shot his pilot lmao
Wasn't this video around the time that explosive fragmentation shells were bugged? They did 0 damage for a while; the airfields provided no protection during this period of time.

2:20 for me its the 20mm 151 cannons that suck. just lighting up canopies with it and nothing. but in il-2 theyre just big titty monsters that destroy everything.

I'm sorry but this 190 is unplayable. It exists in a br where bombers outturn it... And do not even say BnZ because things can turn fast enough and would still be fast enough to shoot you down because again, 190 cannot turn and neither evade.
The only reason this guy can play it like this is just because he is in a pool full of seals and he has a club.

@@threadworm437 Sure. I have nearly full German and ussr trees with experience in each plane on them.
190 is UTTER TRASH. There are jets with similar characteristics (can't turn, has speed, fine roll rate) like Saab 105, La 200, F84F etc but 190 can't even make use of its excellent roll rate because its instantaneous turn is also UTTER TRASH meaning you cannot roll out and out speed like a proper bnz fighter should. You cannot up and over, rolling scissors, brake check or even HEAD ON because you are going to be eating head on sprays coming from 1km away because your plane is trash and the sprayer will duck out before your bullets reach. I would have liked to give another example from any prop line without mentioning jets but no... 190 is THAT and only plane which is going to lose a turn fight to a Pe8 or a Lancaster...

@teleman07 lol I have the full german air tree and I have all of the Fw 190s with at least a 4 to 1 KD besides the F8. Skill issue

Look if you are new, stop being pretentious and get to Ta152 H1. That is the bread and butter prop fighter, not 109K (although it is good too, not the best among its peers). If they are too far for you, get to 109F4 asap. It is the definitive 109 at its br.
a literal shit brick house can turn better than the 190 series. good in armaments but idk why people like its "agility'.
The 190s can turn pretty well at high speeds, especially the early ones. You just have to make sure not to get slow. Except for the A-5s, those have been hopeless since Apex Predators.

you have to 'abuse' the flaps, mostly landing and take off flaps while dogfighting. just don't overdo it or you will lose all momentum. that's just my strategy tho
