    The Lebrun brothers are going to dominate not only in Europe but challenging the Asians as well. Both are great attacking and counter-attacking, creative, and similar to Truls, very Waldner like in terms of varieties which would trick many of the top players due to predictabilities to quite a few of them. Also with Alexis playing shakehand and Felix playing penhold. That's an awesome combination for doubles with each complemented one another.
    I am expecting them to be top 25 at the end of this year or in 2023 and challenging for an Olympic Medal in Paris 2024. France would be a strong contender with the Lebrun brothers. We are seeing a changing of the guard, Fan Zhendong would lead the PRC National Men's team, as in Harimoto with the Japanese, with the marvelous Lin Yun-Ju being the Taiwanese Team Number 1, Truls heading the Swedish team, and now the Lebrun brothers for the French team. Even Kanak Jha dominates as the USA top player and doing well in Europe. Plus the existing exciting veterans elsewhere. The future is very bright for Table Tennis when these young contenders are now beating the established stars.
    We need more excitement and surprising wins. The Next Generation pushing the wave from behind to those waves at the front!

    is he using flared or straight handle?

    • @canicetang8837
      @canicetang8837 Před rokem +3

      Europeans usually played with straight handles and the video clearly showed as such with Alexis' Butterfly Timo Boll ALC paddle. Most Asian players preferred flared shakehand handle for their blades. I believed it is all down their comfort level with respect to their various unique grip.
      I am a penholder and if I have to pick up a shakehand paddle to coach others, I always have a flared handle paddle in my equipment bag because the contoured shape gives me more control and comfort with my grip. I also believed that in terms of genetics, Europeans are bigger and taller than most Asians, so their hands are tend to be bigger and have thicker fingers as well. If that's the case, then straight handles feel much better than the flared ones.
      Just my two cents that's all.

      @@canicetang8837 I always prefer Anatomy handle first then flared, i have one ST handle blade and i never played with it and looking for to sell it although the reviews showing it a remarkable amazing blade, but that doesn't matter as long i am not comfortable and already having another blades i am more happy with, as a hobby or fun i really don't care to use whatever even a round handle if possible and all continents rubbers, but players must select what they are really feel comfortable with for their playing style, and those pro top players they never left things for coincidence.

      @@TareqAstroPhoton It is whatever you are comfortable with. Also in Table tennis, it is subjective. Say for example, what works FOR YOU doesn't mean exactly THE SAME for others. You can emulate but don't copy 100 percent from the professional. Even the optimal timing and strike zones for your forehands and backhands are unique from anyone else.

    • @TareqAstroPhoton

      Why Hurricane 3 NEO in specific and not Butterfly he is already using?

    • @galaxismtg7722
      @galaxismtg7722 Před rokem

      Ich habe sehr viel Material getestet (Beläge). Zum Beispiel: GEWO Hype Serie Nexxus XT Pro 48/50 Hard; Donic Bluestorm Z1 Turbo; Butterfly Dignics 05/09c. All diese Beläge sind bestimmt gute Rückhand Beläge keine Frage (ich nutze selbst Dignics 09c für die Rückhand) aber mit Hurricane 3 Neo kannst du einfach bessere auf Vorhand Topspin anziehen und gegenziehen unter der Voraussetzung man hat die Technik. Auf der Rückhand kann man ihn auch spielen ratsam um eine starke Rückhand Technik zu entwickeln (Trainieren), aber es fehlt ihm die entgeschwindigkeit. Als Vergleich Fun Zhendong und Ma Long: Ma Long versucht den Punkt mit der Vorhand zu erzielen und Mit der Rückhand eher den Ball im Spiel zuhalten um dan mit der Vorhand den Punkt zu erzielen (manch mal ist er auch spielerisch mit der Rückhand). Fun Zhendong greift hingegen mit beiden Seiten an um den Punkt zu erzielen. Ma Long spielt Hurricane 3 Neo auf der Rückhand da er Spin unempfindlicher ist als gewöhnlichen Tensor Beläge (Tenergy oder die die ich aufgezählt habe) unterstützt aber nicht den Spieler wie ein Tensor Belag. Diese Unterstützung braucht (wen man ein so starken Rückhand Topspin spielen möchte) man für die Rückhand da man auf ihrer nicht so viel Kraft entwickeln kann wie auf der Vorhand . Das ist auch ein Grund warum Fun Zhendong mit der Rückhand so viel Punkt macht (Ma Long spielt eher die Gegner mit der Rückhand aus um den Punktzu erzielen). Spielt man jedoch Tensor Beläge auf der Vorhand finde ich ist das mit der Spin Empfindlichkeit ein großes problem und man kann nicht so tief anziehen (ich lasse den Ball manchmal so tieff fallen damit ich den ankommenden Spin etwas weniger habe) wie mit einem Hurricane 3 Neo , hinzu kommt noch das man wen man möchte eine sehr flache oder gekrümmte Topspin spiel kann. Kurz gesagt es gibt keinen besseren Vorhand Belag (guck dir die Chinesischen Schläger an alle haben nen Hurricane oder ähnlichesauf der Vorhand (Skyline)). Zudem ist dir vielleicht aufgefallen das die Chinesen vor der Ballannahme in ihrer linken Platten Hälfte stehen da sie von dort besser die Angaben sehen können (fallsder Gegner diese verdeckt) und weil sie zu 2/3 mit der Vorhand annehmen da dies (Hurricane 3 Neo) Spin unempfindlicher ist/man mit ihr so gut anziehen kann und man einfach sicher ist und man mit der Rückhand decken sie 1/3 der Platte ab da sie Spin empfindlicher ist und man nicht so viel/ genügend Schwung entwickeln kann wie mit der Vorhand. Alex Lebruns würde mit einem Hurricane 3 Neo mehr Kontrolle haben/erhalten, müsste sich aber an den Belag gewöhnen da er halt nur das macht was er man selbst reingesteckt (Kein Tensor- Katapult Effekt). Das war jetzt etwas viel aber bevor ich es mit is Grab nehme XD
      I tested a lot of material (rubbers). For example: GEWO Hype Series Nexxus XT Pro 48/50 Hard; Donic Bluestorm Z1 Turbo; Butterfly Dignics 05/09c. All of these rubbers are definitely good backhand rubbers, no question (I use Dignics 09c myself for the backhand) but with Hurricane 3 Neo you can simply apply better topspin on forehand and counter-pull provided you have the technique. It can also be played on the backhand, which is advisable for developing a strong backhand technique (training), but it lacks the speed. As a comparison of Fun Zhendong and Ma Long: Ma Long tries to score the point with the forehand and uses his backhand to keep the ball in play to then score the point with the forehand (sometimes he is also playful with the backhand). Fun Zhendong, on the other hand, attacks with both sides to score the point. Ma Long plays Hurricane 3 Neo on the backhand because it is less sensitive to spin than usual tensor rubbers (Tenergy or those I have listed) but does not support the player like a tensor rubber. You need this support (if you want to play such a strong backhand topspin) for the backhand because you cannot develop as much power on it as on the forehand. This is also a reason why Fun Zhendong scores so much with his backhand (Ma Long is more likely to outplay opponents with his backhand to score the point). However, if you play Tensor rubbers on the forehand, I find that the spin sensitivity is a big problem and you can't hit it as deep (I sometimes let the ball fall so low so that I have a little less incoming spin) as with a Hurricane 3 Neo In addition, if you want, you can play a very flat or curved topspin. In short, there is no better forehand rubber (look at the Chinese racquets, they all have a hurricane or something similar on the forehand (Skyline)). In addition, you may have noticed that the Chinese stand in their left half before receiving the ball because they can see the information better from there (if the opponent is covering it) and because they receive 2/3 with the forehand because this (Hurricane 3 Neo) Spin is less sensitive/you can pull it off so well and you're just safe and you cover 1/3 of the plate with your backhand because it's more sensitive to spin and you can't develop as much/enough momentum as with the forehand. Alex Lebruns would have more control with a Hurricane 3 Neo, but would have to get used to the rubber because he only does what he puts in (no tensor catapult effect). That was a bit much now, but before I take it to my grave XD

      @TareqAstroPhoton Před rokem

      @@galaxismtg7722 Ok, nice to read all that, didn't know that Hurricane 3 NEO can do that, as in some TT forums i see people just avoid using Hurricane, even in the club i don't see many into this rubber, i only saw one coach using Hurricane 3 National BS for his forehand but Butterfly on his backhand, now i did buy Hurricane 3 Provincial NEO blue sponge for my forehand and normal Hurricane 3 NEO for my backhand as a test with my fast DHS Hurricane Long 5X blade, i hope it will give me nice performance in both FH and BH, i once played with used Hurricane 3 rubber i don't know which version, it was really tacky and i liked it very much for my forehand, i was able to attack from far, but it was on all round or OFF blade not that great one but acceptable, but that racket has been stolen from me, so i decided to replace like 2 or 3 blades i have FH to Hurricane 3, only my Long 5x has both sides Hurricane with one is Prov BS and both are boosted, while all other blades only FH Hurricane 3 NEO normal one, one is boosted and one is not, so i will have one main powerful racket, and second backup less speed but has high control, and maybe third one for practice slow speed and normal control, later i will buy one cheap racket as a copy or fake to Long 5 blade and i will out DHS Hurricane rubbers on that too i think if the one i have will be great after a test.

    • @galaxismtg7722
      @galaxismtg7722 Před rokem

      To learn to generate a lot of power on your own especially if you play it backhand and then replace it with a tensor you would notice a difference and no longer want to play the backhand Hurricane. Commercial version of the Hurricane 3 Neo is sufficient, especially if you want to test it first. 2 blades that are as similar as possible are sufficient (for me there is only one real blade, I don't use the remaining 7 and have to see that I get rid of them (what a Waste!)) The wood has to give you the right feeling, that's important. What country are you from, may I ask?Boosting is not necessary!
      Work on yourself and not on the material!

    Dude come on, @0:26 you mention gauzy and the 2 Lebrun brother as being the futur of France tennis table. Are you blind to the point of not seing Cassin sharing the 3rd step with Felix ? Cassin was a France prodigy, France champion from 8 to 17yo. European champion when he was 16, on world tour against Harimoto at 17 he almost defeated him, he won against Jorgic, Karlsson, Lebesson, Persson, Samsonov, … He is one of the only 5 french players in the world top 100, alongside Gauzy, the Lebrun’s brothers and Lebesson.

      True, but Alex haven't been winning much lately and the Lebrun brothers had been quite amazing even when they were young. So it is pretty much for the Table Tennis World to always focus who is red hot. Right not it is the Lebrun brothers. If Cassin, Gauzy, Lebesson beating Ma Long, Harimoto and even the top Swedish players including Truls, then we would be talking about them, right?
      Not to be rude but really, results count these days, especially with the newest ITTF ranking.
