I am a new member of St. James Parish in Davis, and meeting Bishop Rey at the potluck that his flock put on for him last week to celebrate his ordination spoke very clearly to me about this man's character. I watched his actual ordination today live, with several other members of the parish too in the gym at St. James, and we were all cheering and laughing at how happy we all were about this new calling that Bishop Rey has accepted. He is so beloved by the ones he helps lead to Christ, and he is authentically humble and very holy from what I can tell. I am starting RCIA at St. James this year, and I can't wait to fall further in love with Jesus and learn from the examples of the saints and other holy people like this man. It is because of clergy like Bishop Rey that I know the true Church will survive until the end of time. I will be keeping you in my prayers from now on Bishop Rey, and may God bless all the work you do in the name of Jesus our Lord.
